    1. Hi, These recently came into my possession. From what little information in English is floating around on the interweb, these have been described as penal battalion buckles, but I’ve seen several photos showing this plain Soviet buckle being worn by various terrorist forces in South Africa (Bush War). The steel example shown here came by way of Serbia. Anyone have other information on these plain buckles and their issuance? Thanks!
    2. Gentlemen, The following patch is up for some discussion. It is a cotton linen type material, with printed design. It measures 4 1/4” x 3 1/4” (roughly). It was amongst a few other vet bring-back items (all of which conclusively indicate service in the Philippines). Question is, what is it? I’ve seen photos of a few pilots wearing flag patches on flight suits, but these are all “meatball” flags, without rays. Thoughts?

    14. Gentlemen, Just acquired a ‘14 Iron Cross 2nd Class and it was in this box. Any clues as to what award the box is for?
    15. Hi All, Just acquired this. Measures around 1.5" dia. Features a flur and a grotesque dolphin. Appears excavated. Any ideas? Thanks!!

    17. here's an American award. Note the pin brooch. This was obtained from the soldier's descendants, along with written provenance from the family and a copy of his service record. Very nice to find a documented American example!
