I have a question regarding date variation as it coincided to date of award. If a person was awarded a CdG in 1918, would he have received the 14-18 variation without exception or is there any chance that a 14-16, 14-17, etc. could somehow slip through the supply chain cracks and be awarded in '18??
Hi Rogi,
Thanks for that! I had a search around the web using that info and feel confident it's Yugoslavian. Is it possible that, based on your observations, it would represent an interim period - post kingdom but pre-communism?? Yes, it is quite like a large badge, very well struck and certainly officer quality.
Regards,
Mark ~
Gentlemen,
I'm having a hell of a time putting an ID on this buckle. Assume European, but one never knows. Very high quality piece, chamferred tongue, appears to be bronze gilt. Any thoughts?
Thank you!
Mark ~
