    1. Very Nice, It is from Bahawalpur an Indian Princely state now in Pakistan. It is the Kot Sabzal medal issued for the campaign in the North West Frontier from 1930-31 in which Bahawalpur IS forces were heavily involved. The reverse is most attractive. Quite a few of   these are named on the rim. Is yours named. I have been after one for a while.

      All the best,

      Paul

    3. Thank you very much as I know nothing of them. Strange to as my great uncle was in china,Formosa, and the Philippines during and before WW2 ,he never talked of it.nothing personal at any rate.I do know that after the war he was captain of a repair ship and was in Manila Bay picking up silver coins that the government had dumped before the Japanese got there.Wish he were still here.

    6. How many years have you been doing this ,studying medals and all or Japanese only? You sure are way ahead of me. You should have classes as i do not think i hum am the only dumb person out there. best,Ray

    7. Just wanted to share some of my Indian medal collection. I have just started collecting Indian medals and like the fact that a majority are numbered and named. I find that they are not as easy to find to buy as other countries, but maybe that will be some of the fun in collecting Indian medals

      Caz

Thanks for starting this. I thought i had a good number of India medals YA maybe about 1/2 of 1% or so. This forum rocks wow i have never said that before. best,Ray

    8. Ray,

Thanks for the info. Yes it is possible that one can get caught up in phoney bidding wars on some on line sites (I think you all know the ones I mean)which is one of the reasons if I do bid on line I am very cautious and in some ways I prefer the buy it now (assuming it is sensible, there are many clients on E-bay who put such outrageous prices it should say " if you are mentally deranged and have more money than sense buy it now" although on one occasion I did just that but it was to reunite a probably unique pair).

      Paul

Hi Paul, well I hope I learned something though at my age one would think i would not fall into the bid up thing.I really have no excuse except I am an old man and no one should pick on me. Ha Ha Ha. Grow up Ray. Best,Ray

    9. Ray I hope you either get the piece, or you're not out of pocket. Have you paid by Pay-Pal or by Credit Card, if so you will have some recourse.

      Paul

Hi Paul hope you are well. I actually have not paid yet or thats what i think. When i tried to pay my credit card company refused payment.well i should not be talking about this on a public forum as there is someone here who spreads things, enough said.
