The ball hinge type is my favorite also. It really beats Juncker in terms of quality.

I believe the case is worth more than what you paid for the set! Well done!

Magnificent addition to your collection. Congratulations.

I really like that photograph! Great detail.

Although the medal is marked "Losch" I doubt it is worth $1250 nor do I believe the Police LS is valued at $200.
It is dangerous to try and publish a "price guide" even with good data. Seems the only price guide that "stuck" is the Kelley Blue Book for cars but there is a tremendous amount of sales data available for that effort. There is no such data base for medals, medal bars and ribbon bars.
Would it be worth our time to try and start one here?

Did the enamel lapel device replace the lapel bow and if so, when?

Nice job Christian but what are you going to do with Porsche Boxster? We'll send you a new Corvette instead. :food-smiley-004:

OK, guys, for the keys to a new Porsche Boxster can you name the ribbon in the middle of the bar?
The forum lead and moderator are both disqualified having suffered through this already! animal :cat-smiley-025:

Great looking 2nd pattern AS!
I really like the fire gilt effect in the first pair of pictures. That would be first!

Really? I thought the police LS was very rare. However, I have been known to change an opinion (a fact my wife would vigorously dispute).

Thanks Claudio. I am a great admirer of your collection! :food-smiley-004:

...and a big Bavarian. One day I aspire to a Jakob Leser made award like Rick's.

This may or may not be a Bavarian but I think it is a simple and elegant bar.

Here is a close-up of the medal.

I find those little "fashion statements" fascinating!

St. Michael doesn't make the cut. The rare bird here and an ultra rare bird at that is the Bavarian Politzei 20 Year Long Service Cross.
This is the bar that got me started on the slippery slope thanks to Stogieman...

...and a damn poor job it was! Still, in fairness to our British cousins urban renewal doctrine of the time was not well developed. The burning followed the track meet at Blandensburg.

Well done and a good value!

Consider this, design skills are hereditary and the KMST designers inheirited from some ancient chastity belt designers...

I intend to work myself to nervous breakdown trying to figure out the purpose of the set up on that cross! :speechless-smiley-004:

Hohenzollern ribbon bars

Here are my two contributions to the Crown and Swords catalogue.
In addition, if you look carefully at the EKII on the second bar you will see it has a mini first form spange.
