There is really something special about a real one!

The boxed bar also looks like it's part of a do-it-yourself kit.

Now that is some kind of firefighter!

I have not seen it in that configuration however I do have one on a bar for illustration...and one framed along with an award document both are bronze.
The Memellandes were part of Lithuania and contained a large ethnic german population that Hitler decided should be made part of the Reich in keeping with his notion of "living space."
The Wehrmacht monitored the award of the Memel medal more closely than any of the other "flower wars" medals since cooks, clerks, butlers, chauffers and maids and sutlers had recieved the Austrian and Sudetenland medals. As you can see it is the typical naked Nazis with flags medal with a different date on the reverse.

Most of my bars are imperial but I did find this small TR group that I thought represented an unusual combination of awards.

There is also something else unique about this bar...

Fantastic stuff! The quality of these Imperial era awards is astounding! My only Bulgarian decoration is on a bar which I suspect belonged to a navy tech type.
The seems to be a unique combination of awards on the ribbon bar so let's hope that Rick can work his incredible magic!

I'm delighted you were able to get the bar posted! It was well worth the wait. It is a superb bar made even more desireable through Rick's efforts!
I'll bet you're having a great day! jumping :food-smiley-004:

My only Ludwig Cross is on a bar belonging to a Bavarian policeman.

How about an old Bavarian cop?

I am in debt to "The League of the Two Rickies" for the hardware and the research.
Bars like this one do not turn up every month and when they do the resources to close the deal must be available. animal animal

I think those are woven on the antique looms of Stogieman using child labor.

Their nickname is "The Buffsticks" and relates to an item of their distinctive insignia. The is a patent leather strap worn around the right shoulder of the uniform blouse. Threaded through this strap is a flat strip of light colored leathered representing raw hide. This item is traced to the battle of Lundy's Lane during the War of 1812 when the regimental commander asked that his men thread a strip of raw hide through their knapsack straps so that they might be more easily identified during the battle.
