Rick, do you have more of Senior Sergeant Noga's awards or docs?

Can you see, if there was another serialnumber on the usual position? And can you post a closeup of the serialnumber?

Wow, very nice. This is the first mini, i have seen of this award. Even the fullsize version is extremly rare and i have maybe seen it once or twice.
Excellent find, Wild Card

well, we did not, but it seems the first one has arrived! Welcome!
Yes, aren?t we blessed, Chris?
However, everyone, who is too lazy to look on ebay to get an idea about the price of an item, which is readily available everywhere, deserves no other treatment, sorry.

Thanks a lot for the input, Paul. Unfortunately I have lost this one on ebay.
If there is anyone out there, who wants to part with one of these or knows, where one is for sale, i would appreciate, if you send me a message.
Thanks again

I have a question, the signature near the stamp in the order book in the first post of this thread is the same as in my two order books for medal for bravery. Why it this so?
Thats not a real signature, but a faksimile printed in the orders book.

Any thoughts? I doubt any research will ever be possible, but it won't stop me from asking (once the pipeline begins to clear ).
Ed, i know for sure, research on unnumbered Medals for Valor and for Military Merit is possible
Nice group!!!

Bob, who is the famous soviet on the picture right in the middle`?

Slava,
lets wait and see, if the prices really can keep up this level. They probably will, but you never know. And yes, there are different groups of collectors. With my financial means i can buy small groups and a few low-end orders, but if an OGPW 2nd class costs 350 Dollar and a simple Red Star goes for 75 Dollar, then we are not far from the point, when collectors like me are only able to collect Jubilee Medals or a Campaign Medal once in a while. You can imagine, how many will be very unhappy with that and change the collection field. I have myself often thought about to stop with soviet, although i am able to spend 300-400 Dollar a month for the collection and i don?t consider that sparse and i know a lot of other collectors who think like me and have similar budgets or less.
Christian, if they like it in Kitzb?hel, then they want to spend more time there.
Its simple: More nights in Kitzb?hel = Less Glory Trios

Gerd

Lovely display, Eric. I think, i want such descriptions on mine too.
Great info, Rick. I have some doubts about some of mine. Which one would you consider questionable? All of the black ones?
0 -
Slava,
you do collect these and know probably more than me about them, but i just can?t see 15.000 Dollar for a Glory Trio, at least not yet and definately not from collector to collector (Remember the last two Trios, Dave tried to sell?).
However, with prices increases like this (especially also for the COMMON stuff) the circle of soviet collectors will be very small soon and it will be hard to move anything soviet. Another American dealer told me, he lost a lot of customers already due to the high prices. So you probably have to be very lucky to find someone, who buys your Glory Trio in 2050 for the asking price of 125.000 Dollar then, if the prices continue to raise like the last three years...
regards,
Gerd

I wonder, if one of the Glory-trio owners out there really thinks, he will be able to sell his Trio for nearly the same price. And btw, that something dissappeares on CollectRussia does not automatically mean, its sold. There are pieces on conseignment and are withdrawn without being sold.
I don?t see the purpose of this thread, honestly. Do you guys really think, your stuff is worth the same now? Who is able and more important willing to spend 15.000 Dollar on a Glory Trio? Not me, even if i had the money. I believe, there are just a handful of collectors, who would do that. Sure, there are the russians, but what, if they are tired of the this old stuff? I have heard Villas in Kitzb?hel are the new hit for rich russians.
You can take this as the whining of a poor collector, but i really think, you guys are dreaming, if you think, you can transer the CollectRussia price-level to your collection.
Just my two euro-cents...

Hi Eric,
yes, thats the typical style of the GPW area and early post-war. This one looks okay to me, i hope, Rick will confirm.
I have a few of them too.

Isn?t it likely that this is just a variation? The darker blue to distinguish it from the other grades?
However, nice one and quite unusual
