Earlier Chris Boonzair had one of these medals for sale that he picked up on his fruitful sojoun in Morocco! I think some Arabs/palestinians, Belgians and Greeks,Serbs and Albanians also got them.

Mr. Seymor had good stuff. I'll bet he identified it.
My apologies to Mr. T.-the facts have been explained.

That 2nd Lts. uniform is a treat! You should do a book-or at least an article. Have you seen the Rumanian forum?

Look on the left-and the right!

My neighbor's husband had one of these in Frankfurt. His swords denoted a KVk with swords-the ribbon of which was beneath his EK2 medal ribbon.

There is also a very nice Schiffer book out there on the Freikorps. It is expensive but worth it.
Also, there are some very obscure works out there-but the one on the Bavarian Einwohner is very good albeit limited in scope.
There are a number of articles worth looking at as well.

Hi Ingsoc:
I got this Yom Kippur ribbon off ebay. May I beg a favour and ask you to translate it?
Do you know how many were awarded? The booklets' front has 0378544 on it.
Thanks!

Well, there were only 8 DSCs before 1914 and as it's an award for 'in the face of the enemy" I doubt it's a polar 1904 medal bar. Still, it's a mystery and makes no sense as a fake either-too odd and obscure and undoubtedly worn.
My moneys on Red Cross/copper with some sort of DSC-like ribbon for Red Cross/county council service and dating from the 1920s. It has that "feel" to it.

@1914.
I suspect it once belonged to Charles Wooley-since much of his collection was being sold off.

yeah-impulse buys are interesting.
Flip it and you might have a CSC, Jubilee and Arctic medal-bizarre. Undoubtedly old and worn though-and on a very old style British mounting.

I got this at a show last week...an impulse purchase. I think it's police by the middle ribbon, but would be very grateful if anyone can tell me exactly what it is I have here.
