Greek Order of the Redeemer 1st class
I'm wondering if a name could be put to this bar, as it's unusual to see a Greek officers award on a German bar?

Hello Scott,
Yes, IMHO the piece you have shown is correct for a Wagner made award. Here's a couple of pics of mine, which is marked "938 W"

While Herr Leiste takes it easy in the saddle .... well he is getting old by now.

Then on to the foot slogging to get them fit

The caption in #18 indicates that it was one of the Kaiser's younger sons, the later-Nazi Prince August Wilhelm.
I have never seen that badge before, Mike. It is exceptionally well made, and from the postcards of Berlin during the November 1918-March 1919 period, may well be an undocumented "street Freikorps" badge. You need to ask VerKuilen Ager if he's ever seen it before.
Rick, Dohhhh ... Prince August Wilhelm is what I meant to type and thanks for the correction. I've got to say that the badge IS very well made and I'm sure it's not some sort of make believe thing. I'll try and contact VerKuilen Ager as you suggested to see what he makes of it.
A couple of scans from Herr Lieste's Album

Well that's my lot for tonight .. there are a good few photos of Herr Leiste in his later service that I have. I just know that from a simple medal bar I have in my collection a great history for a guy that served his country for many years.
Cheers, Mike

A little later history, maybe a connection to one of the Friekorps units. A couple of pics first then a badge that was in the group.

I think this is a very nice set of pics showing the Crown Prince's visit to the unit.

What I believe is Heinrich's billet and photo's of the area.

But now a few scans from the album and a trip through a soldiers career.
Starting with the first entries in the album. I guess where he was first stationed on the Russian front.

Pin badge in case. I'm not sure if this is the original case though.
