    1. Hi all. I wanted to show off my latest belt. I hope to be able to aquire the Luftwaffe version eventually. I had one recently but had to send it back because it just didn't measure up. It may have been a copy. Anyway, this is one of those that has the hook and eye closure. It doesn't appear to have been worn all that often. Does anyone happen to know it these were earlier than the ones they made with the strip of leather and the two pronged keeper? Mike
    2. Hi all. I stumbled across this the other day but I can't seem to find any information on hats like this. I've showed it to two people who don't like the looks of it. One said that luftwaffe winter hats were not like this. It's green wool and is supposed to have a makers mark inside somewhere. I'd appreciate any thoughts or opinions. Mike
    3. When I said that the buckle was supposed to be an early one because of the eagle with the dropped tail, and that it should be brass and not aluminum, I was referring to the eagle. The buckle being aluminum is fine. Mike
    4. Hi all. I thought I'd update everyone on this. The belt has been returned to the seller. The chances of it being original are very slim I think. First of all, the tab on the reverse of the buckle can be bent with little effort. From what I understand you shouldn't be able to bend it that easily. Secondly, the buckle is supposed to be an early one because of the eagle with the dropped tail. It should be brass and not aluminum. Thirdly, the various bands of aluminum and color on the belt should meet the known size requirements which they do not. The dealer I got it from insists that this information does not mean that it's a copy. He stands behind his assertion that it's good. My gut feeling is that it is a copy. Mike
    5. Thanks Paul. But I'm concerned that it might be postwar. I've been told that it looks like a postwar item for various reasons, one of which is the fact that the tab on the back of the buckle can be bent with a little pressure from my thumb. But the person I got it from says that several dealers had no problem with it at the MAX show. I'm puzzled. I really need for somebody to help me out with this. Mike
    6. Hi all. I just got this yesterday. I wanted to put it on here to see what you all think. Thanks. Mike
    7. Hi all. I found this in the tinnie database. I've got one and was wondering what it's for. Mike
    8. Thanks Don. Now that I've looked at it about 50 times it doesn't really look like a good E either. Maybe you're correct. Everything else about the badge says good as far as I can tell. Michael
    9. Thanks Robin. I've looked at it several times with a magnifying glass and there's definitely an E where the Z should be. It's got to be a copy. Michael
    10. I can send somebody bigger and better pics to their e-mail address if need be. Michael
    11. Sorry about the small pictures but with the size limits that's as good as it gets. I hope that someone will be able to give me some info. Michael
    12. Hi all. I found this in the bottom of a box of stuff I bought at an auction. I don't know if it will come out or not. I tried to get as close a picture as I could. The RZM mark actually says REM. My first thoughts were that it's a copy. Anybody have any idea if this is a good one?
    13. Looks like a superb youth knife. Very nice! That diamond looks just like the one I show doesn't it? Thanks Darrell. Michael
    14. Sorry about that. The picture was too big. here's the back.
