Hi Chaps
Just picked this up recently.
I like it a lot, but im not sure if it is original as a group. I certainly dont doubt the originality of the medals themselves, but not so sure that they were all originally together....
SHouldn't the ost medal be third in the group?
What are your thoughts?

What a wonderful thing to do. That is an incredibly generous offer.
Please find my email, which is winging its way to you as we speak
Kindest and heart-felt regards

Dan,
Thank you very much for your kind comments. These later patterns are easily dismissed as common, or less elegant than earlier swords. However, when given the chance to dig below the surface and uncover information on the men who carried these weapons, these common patterns become something a bit more.

Hi Chaps
How do we rate this eagle? I think it is the larger size Kriegsmarine Sunhelmet bird
am i correct? is it a good one?
It is missing 1 pin from the rear.
It is white metal and shows remnants of a darker wash

Greetings,
I am purchasing this plaque. I thought it was interesting. I like the date. One day prior to outbreak of war.
Pretty neat.
What do you think.

Hi Justin
Its a great item.
How big is it? I see the 3 small holes for attatching it, but what would it be attached to?
Thanks, Dan

The badge also appears to have a thin strip of silver-wash around the lower half of its edge.

Thanks Rick.
Today will be a better photo day!
It turns out that we actually have an Epsom scanner packed away at my other halfs parents. Dunno which model it is but it will be coming home with me next time we visit...!

It seems to be a copy of a cap eagle.
What gives it away? Material, pins, stamping, overall execution and appearance ... etc.
Ahhh. It shall be filed under 'bin' then!

If you collect original items, then yes, you should have left it there.
Thanks Naxos.
I'm pretty new to TR. What exactly is it meant to be a copy of?
What particularly gives it away?

Sorry for the poor pics!
All 3 pins are missing.
Looks to be of good quality manufacture in copper with a gold coloured plating.

Hi Chaps
I picked this up today from a tabletop sale. I paid 10 pence.
I havent seen anything quite like it before.
It was amongst a load of really poor repro TR stuff. Should i have left it there?
Cheers, Dan
