Hello gentlemen, I would like to share with you this helmet of the "Paulista" model of the Brazilian civil war of 1932. During that war, steel helmets were used for the first time in Brazil. When the war between the state of São Paulo and the federal government of Brazil, São Paulo began to prepare for the conflict. With that, São Paulo started making steel helmets based on 2 helmets from the first war that a Brazilian collector had brought to Brazil. Three different models were manufactured at the same time: one based on MKI and two based on Adrian. One of the two models based on Adrian had its design changed by São Paulo. That is why it was called the "paulista" model. You can see little difference at the top of the helmet. The war only lasted approximately 3 months. São Paulo lost militarily, but won some political victories. I got this helmet from a distant relative of a veteran who served with the forces of São Paulo. It had been stored since the war when the family decided to see it with other old items. I just bought the helmet. It has two significant damages: One on the outside front, and another that looks like it came from the "inside out" direction. I hope you enjoyed. And I would like to hear your opinions about this helmet and its strange marks. Thanks!

Serbian / Croatian / Bosnian helmets with inscriptions
joaobr replied to joaobr's topic in Northern European & Baltic States
Correcting an error: The correct thing about the inscriptions on the helmet is: "They are:" January 1988 "," May '89. This helmet was used in January 88 "and also" guja ". -
The Serbian helmet has a shaved red star and some Bosnian inscriptions on the inside. They are: "January 1988", "May '89. This helmet was used in January 88" and also "gluttony". I don't know what the last one means. On the front flap, it says: "II S V" with pen and "P7Z", crossed out on top. I don't know what conflicts this type of helmet was used for. Would you have any good ideas? The other helmet is a German model from DDR. It was a model used during the Croatian war by the Croats, together with other models of helmets. There is an inscription on the liner that I can't quite understand ... I would appreciate any help! I hope you enjoyed it and would like to know your impressions and what you think !!! Thanks

Hello Gentlemen, A friend of mine traveled and found this medal with a lot of medals from a Brazilian veteran of World War II. I'm Brazilian and as far as I know of Brazilian medals, she doesn't seem to be Brazilian. So far I only have a picture of one side of it. I bought it from him and she is coming through the post office and I only have this picture of her for now. She looks like Chile's "Minerva Medal". But if drawing is still quite different I hope you can help me. I appreciate your opinions

Here are the other photos. In the first photo we have from left to right: General Clyde D. Eddleman, a man I did not identify and General Matzky. In the second photo, there are a series of German and English officers. In the left corner appears Adolf Heusinger and General Matzky. I don't know the officers on the left. The last photo depicts the staff of the German embassy in Tokyo. In the far right corner, you can see then Colonel Matzky and the spy Sorge

Hello gentlemen, I have some photos that I got on a batch of items from General Gerhard Matzky. I'm researching who the other people in the photos are. I will share the photos for you to see and, also, eventually if you can help me with the identification of other people in the photos if possible. I still have other photos and I'll post them later because I haven't taken pictures of them yet. In the first photo, we have General Matzky and the Queen of England celebrating his birthday. I don't know who the people next to Queen Elizabeth would be. In the second photo, as it is written log underneath it, we have Lord Mountbatten, an admiral who I do not know who is in the middle and General Matzky himself. I appreciate your comments and hope you like the photos

Hello gentlemen, A friend of mine found this lot with German badges and medals and sent me these images. Most of them look horrible to me. But I come to ask your opinion on whether there is any hope that there is something original here. As soon as I get more photos, I'll update them here. I appreciate your opinions, Thanks

Hello gentlemen, I have this second war document from veteran automotive mechanic Willian H. Wilson. There are two lines, just below the title "extract" and also in front of the name "Wilson, William H. Tec 5 32954264 965", with many abbreviated words and acronyms that I cannot understand very well. I would appreciate any clarification and help! Thanks

Hello gentlemen, I found this little pin from the Spanish phalanx along with items from a person who belonged to the Hitler youth. I found it unusual. Not much about this type of pieces from Spain. Could any of you perhaps give an idea of dating for the piece?

Hi, as promised, i will post the photos of the second war i promised. There are some since the time of the first war and after. I am struggling a lot to try to translate what is written behind them. I have had some success with some of them. There is also a letter and a document from your child. I appreciate any help from you, if you can give it to me. Anyway, I share the images for you to take a look The rest of the photos And here are pictures of your son’s document and a letter

Daniel is right. It belonged to LtGen Gerhard Matzky. I got some pieces of it from the general's son's widow. In the lot, these pins also came. I would like to know if you could help me to identify some and say if any of them are from the war period. But I believe that most are post-war. Some pins I was not able to identify very well such as the pin "R", the iron cross inscribed "G.D.R", the moose and the pin with the inscriptions DSK / VdS. There is a medal from the veterans' association. I didn't find much reference about. There is also a Japanese box with 3 pins that I don't know about. I just know that the box refers to the 10 year anniversary of the revival of the Japan-German Society. But the pins do not appear to be the original contents of the box. They were just kept there. Thanks for everyone's answers!
