    1. Does anyone know how much exorcisms actually go for in this day and age?
    2. Our Hessian buddy is back up with another one. This one would be fairly convincing, if it didn't have his trademark construction...
    3. I think this may be the first time that I've ever seen a medal photographed in "romantic" soft focus.
    4. Isn't the first one a post-war Bundeverdienstkreuz? Note that it's gold, not white on there. (Not that the above observation does anything to reduce the oddness of that bar, however.)
    5. Only thing that I've been able to find thus far is a Thai commemorative from 1972, but I don't think that's a likely candidate. Make-do ribbon for the Japanese Order of the Sacred Treasure?
    6. No idea how it might have ended up there, but I found a Croatian army jacket at a local surplus store in California. I haven't a clue where to begin looking to research Croatian militaria, so perhaps someone here might be able to shed some light on this stuff. This patch was on the left sleeve:
    7. The back side is where it gets interesting. The first one of these that I've been able to find.
    8. At long last, I finally got my hands on a Spanish Civil War ribbon bar. The ribbons, not all that unique. Precedence is wrong, but a known period mistake:
    9. It wasn't a huge financial outlay, so even if it proves to be bogus, I haven't ruined myself on this one. Granted, I'll be puttering around swearing a blue streak for a spell, but nothing earth shattering. As soon as it's in my grubby little paws, I'll see what I can see.
    10. Hmmm Here's the seller's photo of the reverse: Once I get it in hand, I'll post some better photos.
    11. Certainly within the realm of plausability. Since anything Imperial can be ruled out for the long service, we're left with SS, RAD, or Polizei. At least two out of three immediately make sense in that context. Thanks, --Chris
    12. That certainly does make more sense than Japanese. I had never seen the peacetime grade until you mentioned it. If I recall, the Zvonimir was created in 1941. If that's the case, when / how would a German been able to get thier hands on a peacetime version before 1945?
    13. Cool... Running with that info on #4, we can then nail this bar down to post 29-Dec-1943, when apparently the Commemorative War Medal was created. The other question then becomes, what the heck would someone had to have been / done to net decorations from Japan and Croatia? Thanks, --Chris
    14. Just recently won this ribbon bar. I seem to remember that #4 is something Croatian, but I can't remember what exactly. #3 eludes me entirely. Does anyone recognize either of these decorations? Thanks, --Chris
    15. I think that manages to beat the Austrian ribbon bar that Stogierick was selling a while back that looked like it was made from a popsicle stick.
    16. Not entirely sure if this is even possible, but perhaps the MMJO ribbon was a sub for a lower peacetime grade of the MVK on the war merit ("Beatmter") ribbon - with the active wartime decorations first. --Chris
