Only the Crown was mentioned on the MVK boxes, not swords.

The Suojeluskunta (Civil Guard) Merit corss was established in silver and iron grade (silver is scarce, ca. 500 only awarded). Two last shields are shooting awards of local SK detachments. This one in the pocket button hole is possibly  Estonian Kaitselit (Defence League) member badge.

Agreed. Same "award" was already discussed on WAF. This neither Hanseatic War Merit Cross, nor a Kriegerverein member corss.

Hi,

cross seems to be known variant with "V" manufacturer's mark (maker not identified), iron core type M. Characteristic for this version is 9 touching the following 1 in the date 1914. Ring is a reduced original.

A Bavarian bar, no combat awards, but interesting (I hope )

Nice and very scarce box There is still the old name of decoration on its lid (on March 2nd 1918 the official name was changed from the  Militär-Verdienst-Medaille (Military Merit Medal) to Tapferkeits-Medaille (Bravery Medal)

As I have read on a Slovak forum, the type with incsription "Javorina Orava" was awarded to the members of foreign armies. In this case probably to a soldier of Wehrmacht units, which had invaded Poland from the Slovak territory (September 1939).

Clear Very nice looking bar. The Hanseatic Hamburg cross is a privately purchased Spangenstück.

212th Reserve Infantry Regiment was a Hanseatic regiment, raised in Hamburg and Bremen. Interesting, why a Bavarian Long Service Medal here?

I have seen normal size Mecklenburg Schwerin MVK1 by Godet, which had also the closed 4 - but marking was on the cross, not on pin.

How smaller is the cross? May be a Prinzen?

Agreed, an early silver one. Later issues were made of zinc (see pictures below).

PS. Small correction: this medal is common for both principialties: Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt and Schwarzburg-Sondershausen, which were in personal union under rule of prince Günther Victor since 1909

The EK looks strange, at least as was repainted. Indeed, the signature and some more pictures will be helpful here.

Nice bar, but on your picture Oldenburg medal is on the correct 1st position - and on the bar of thread starter behind the cross (as the Long Service Corss should be)

Are you sure? The ribbon of Oldenburg medal 1866 is rather red in the middle, and the internal stripes in dark blue...

This was from an auction catalog. Indeed not perfect quality But as you can see also on the document shown dy Dansson, all forms for the German soldiers (and in German laguage) have the same date 3. July 1919.

A document for Finnish citiziens looks different (the picture is slightly cut at the top an bottom due to scanners size)
