Let me introduce you to Oberfeldwebel Karl Wacha who was a Pilot/Instructor with FFS A/B 14 Klagenfurt later FFS A 14. I have been researching his documents and other items and noticed in his last Flugbuch that his final flight was 12/5/45. However his POW form dated 21/5/45 shows him as a mechanic with 9 Gebirgs Div GJR 115, my theory is that he was seconded to this Division with inevitable allied advance into Germany. Does anybody else have other theories/comments or information relating to this?

Hi Guys
Can some one tell me a little more about the order of the red star. I have some that I have bought in Russia and the Ukraine during my visits in the Navy but know nothing about them. One seller told me the lower they were numbered the better the materials/metals used in making them. Apart from that they were drunken Sailors gizzits (presents) and my 4 year old nephew has a few including some nice and as yet un researched medals with paper work which may yet come my way (as easy as candy from a baby )
Thanks
