the cuff title "1936-Spanien-1939" were issued for the Army and the "Legion Condor" for the Luftwaffe. Even though both are tradition cuff title, there are not destinated to the same service, and none of them were worn during the SCW but instituted on June 12 1939 for the LW (KG.53, FlakRgt 9, LuftNachRgt 3) and on June 21 1939 for the army (I./Pz.Lehr.Rgt, Nachrichten.Lehr.Abt.). As a tradition badge, all were entitled to wear it, without having taken part to the SCW. jacques

Hi, I can't say about the ribbon and the parade mounting. The cross itself looks OK to me on the pics, no red light alarm. The eagles details looks OK, thus the cut out swasticas and the cross bronze color. the loop seems to have the right form. jacques

Hi Fran, I have the same conclusion as you. All the Meybauer crosses w/o sword I saw clearly shown cut swords. So whatever the MM, coat of arms or L/13, Meybauer only used swords die and them cut the swords. Nevertheless, collectors have to be cautious with such silver crosses with cut swords; it is not so hard to do that for an unscrupulous dealer IOT increase the price. jacques

I remember mine was well vaulted and was very convincing until I found other pics with other makers. the dealer just told me it was a fake in his opinion. I didn't see pics or handed B&NL cross which be unsuspiscious. this is my opinion, and I'm ready to change my mind, but not with the crosses presented here. jacques

Here are other crosses that present the same details, with different maker's marks, to illustrate my suspiscion. the first is marked "21 800"

For me this cross is of the same fake serie as the gold I posted. the eagles and swords grips present the same form and details. the pebbling is rough the center disk has not the same silver wash as the other parts of the cross, which is not good. jacques

I had a suspicion and it has been confirmed by a dealer. I also found the same kind of cross with other MM. In fact I don't like the eagles details thus the swords grips. jacques

Hi, B&NL .... I had a gold cross MM B&NL, but after few years I discovered it was a fake. here it is pictured. I never had a good one in hand. This is reason why I'm suspicious without definitivly condemning this maker. jacques
