Yes because he could not receive a higher class due to his low rank.

I doubt somebody is able to detect new ribbons if he does not have the medal bar in his hands.

George, a very nice medal bar. Do you know what the green cross is, I have never seen it before?

Right, both are in solid gold, no pic of the back. Not my bar so far, I hope I'll get it some day.

In my eyes a very unique medal bar, I appreciate any idea to identify the bearer. Thanks in advance!

Martin Zöllner, born March 28th 1857, commander of 2nd Bavarian Inf.Rgt., General around 1906, retired around 1908.

On first glance not very sensational, but:
-Belonged to Bavarian Generalmajor Manfred Zöllner
-Has the rare Bavarian MVO Knights cross 2nd class on 1st place

If I may also ask...what does an original unattributed PLM sell for? Just out of curiosity really.
Jim
Same price as for an original attributed.

I also do not like these Poellath badges at all.
I do not like all 3 items.

In my eyes this extraordinary document is doubtless worth this price.

Meister should check how Klaus Butschek or Carsten Baldes are doing business. Low prices therefore nearly no stock and 80% of new items sold the same day they arrived.
He is old enough to decide what he is doing and no man alive has the right to judge about his business behavior.

Hallo Josef,
while I am familiar with the "BB&C" stamping on the pin plate,
have you any thoughts with regards the cracked rear of the item, looking at the damage I am (a) surprised it ever made it passed quality control, and (b) even more surprised it has no damage to the front enamel, if damaged in wear.
Kevin in Deva.
Who would see the back when it is worn???

Bavarian LS awards. They are really cool, especially the one for 40 years. Never seen single one for sale.

There is no number of awards in the colonies. Awards were made until 1921/22 by the Reichskolonialamt, also for policemen. Unfortunately most records were lost in WW2.

Medal bar w 4 of the rarest medals money can buy. I've never seen a similar bar.

These additional names were not nicknames. Most come from the Middle Ages and were assigned to farms or estates. So for example the buyer XYZ of the farm named "ABC" got the name then XYZ genannt ABC. Instead of "genannt" one also can find terms like vulgo, modo, vel, alias.

A typical example of “Der Ehrenpokal für besondere Leistung im Luftkrieg” in ‘Feinsilber’
Not the silver version, it is made of silvered Alpaka.
