Thanks Gordon, I pretty much thought this was the story. An acquaintance of mine visited me a few days ago and left a bag with odds and ends, asking me to check it out. Although one has to give the fakers credit for their inventiveness, they haven't done much of a research. Like Dan said, backward swastika and a strange hybrid of LW-eagle. They could also have picked another sub than U-24, which was taken out of commission in 1939. At least they've used Omega watches

It's way over my bedtime, but I'll get back with more details tomorrow

Gentlemen, care to take a shot at these two pices and what they might be? Don't hold back, I don't give them much of a chance

I stand corrected
The cap-badge should feature two prongs for attachment.

Bill, I'm not too thrilled about the full size badge, but I'd stay away from the miniature for sure.

Thanks Valter, another piece of the big puzzle discovered.

Hi Valter,
"And an SS LS award without NSDAP LS is even more suspicious" I'm not sure why this should be an axiom, can you please elaborate as to why.

There you go, my bad. I should have figured that out myself :banger:

Thanks for the images. So we now differetiate "original" post-war versus "non-original" dito? Perhaps I'm just lost in translation, but I assume I'm correct saying the TDB isn't referred to in the 1957 regulations.

"a fantasy arrangement, assembled with original pieces in the original manner". what about the "Kreta" and the "TDB" ;)

Norm, the Deumer shield can also be found with cut-out space around the head.

I've made several attempts to search for a Olympia mini here on the forum, but without success. There must be someone out there with a Godet produced piece, I'm quite certain it has been discussed here before.

Gordon, here's a rather poor scan of the 1957 decorations. Perhaps Uwe will present a better one.

All three Olympia decorations were "re_issued".

Lars, are the olympic rings on your cross integrated or rivetted on separetely?

Does anyone care to comment on the Olympia Cross?

Thanks for the input guys, you're more than likely correct that it's a put-together. I see no problems with originality of the decorations as such, please let know should you feel differently.

My latest acquisition, the SS and HC are really in mint condition, the RAO has some wear to the colour on the enamel.

Good evening Timo
I assumed the position would be the logical reason for your response, just needed to make sure there weren't any other specifics for evaluation available. Still I can't find that precedence list I know is published on this forum.
Since this forum is already polluted, which of them do you prefer
