Here's an impressive miniature chain with 5 Commanders and one Officer. I don't know if this piece is traceable, but all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Kim beat me to it, but I think it's fair to assume one ski was used here in the North centuries ago.

Swedish ski.badge, I assume it's civilian.

Here's my Saint Henry with rigid crown as a 22,5mm commander mini. I assume this is a fairly scarce mini as well.

I received a monster size ribbon button a few days ago and scanned it next to my other sizes for comparison. The first three are Order of the Sword (Sweden), Order of S:t Olov (Norway) and Order of the Dannebrog (Denmark). I can't figure out the last two though. The 4rt ribbon has the colours of the Sudetenland Medaille and that seems far fetched. At first I thought the last ribbon could be the Order of the Icelandic Falcon, but it lacks the narrow red stripes on the edges. Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot guys for confirming my suspicions. Jock, I know I wrote the material resembles stainless steel, but it's actually non-ferrous.

I would appreciate some serious feedback on this decoration. I have my doubts, the material feels more like steel than silver and the eagle looks odd IMO. The images I've compared it with have a different ring attachment i.e. it's wider at the base.

Gents, my best buddy past away a while back (RIP my dear friend). We shared the same interest for Orders and decorations and he was a bit of a mentor for me. I was asked by his family to handle some of his collection and could use some help. I've tried to do my homework and have visited numerous web-pages for info. I think I've figured out the most i.e. classes, crown or not, war decoration and white enamel, but given the many founding dates I'm not sure how to tell them apart. I've enclosed some images and would appreciate any hints of what to look for regarding period of issue.

1. Order of Military Bravery 4th classn 2nd grade (possibly Balkan War?)

2. Order of Military Merit 5th class with crown, piece-time

3. Order of Military Merit 5th class w/o crown, war decoration

4. Order of Military Merit 4th class piece.time

5. Order of Military Merit 4th class, war decoration

Nice catch Christer. I used to have the miniature, but did a no-brainer and sold it Finding a replacement ribbon is almost impossible, given the fragile texture of the ribbon, but I wish you all the luck.

Elmer, I can't beat that, beatutiful miniature

I haven't tested the material, but given the nuance of the fleece, I assume it's gold. The enclosed image illustrates a Vasa in gold and a smaller version in gilded silver. The silver version has a much darker appearance. The width of the fleece is 8,91mm, the center section 11,06mm, the pendang 8,64mm and the overall length 31,63 including the suspension ball.

I hope you guys will appreciate this fairly rare miniature.
