Hello,
I dabble in collecting Canadian cap badges with no rhyme or reason, buying ones that I find to be aesthetically pleasing. I found this one on eBay that I was going to bid on but was waiting to bid on it closer to the end of the auction however I saw that the current bid was just over $200USD. My question is; does this badge really command that amount of money or is it just two bidders caught up in a bidding war? I posted this same question on another forum but thought I would get a quicker response here so I can figure out to bid or not.

Gentleman, Thank you for the replies and input. I wonder if that number in the center of the pin on the reverse is a soldier's service number?

Hello, Can anyone identify this pin? I assume that it is British because of the silver and manufactured markings. I was thinking it it might be one of those sweetheart badges from the Boer War but I couldn’t find this example. The pin measure approx. 4cm in length.
Thanks,
John

Hello, Can anyone please help identify these two badges? I suspect that the one on the left is Canadian to to the Maple Leaf that is on it. The one on the the right I'm guess is some sort of naval aviation badge, but due to the lack of a crown I assume that it is not from the UK or the common wealth.
Both badge have clutch back fasteners and the one on the right is marked "Balfour".Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John0 -

Hello, can anyone please identify this badge? I am assuming that it is European because of the crown, however I cannot find reference to this type/style of crown. The badge measure approximately 6 x 3.5 cm ( 2.3" x 1.3" inches).
Thanks,
John

Can anyone help identify this breast star? I believe it has something to do with the British Royal Army Chaplains' Corps, since the star uses the same insignia as the Chaplains' Corps cap badge. The badge is a 3 piece construction and measures approximately 8cm (3.25" inches) across.
Thanks in advance!
John

Hope to see you there!0 -

Irish War of Independence Survivors Medal 1921-1971 - Opinions Needed
in Rest of the World: Militaria & History
Posted
Hello,
Can I please gets some opinions on the authenticity of this Irish War of Independence Survivors Medal 1921-1971. My concern is the overall details or the lack thereof of the medal, although I have found examples of this medal on-line as well as on a dealers web-site and the appearances does seem to be a bit rough iif you compare it to the quality of an Irish Emergency Medal.
Thank you,
John
