I bought this Soviet cap some time ago. I did a little research (caps is not my 'area'), and I don't think it's a fake, however it seems to be a wrong combination. Isn't the enamel background of the cockade supposed to be gold instead of white? I hope somebody can enlighten things.

Thank you all for your replies. I have honestly no idea when exactly this picture was taken, but probably during a recent victory commemoration. I got it together with a few other veteran pics (unfortunately no more Cavaliers though).

Who can help me identify the right Cavalier of the Order of Glory? The left was already identified by Forum member slava1stclass as Guards Colonel Aleksei Vasilyevich Rumyantsev. The picture must have been taken during a recent victory commemoration. Thanks a lot in advance!

This fountain (the famous 'Fountain of Children') survived the war, but was destroyed during the rebuild of Stalingrad somewhere in the 40's or 50's.
