    1. Hi,

      Hi,

thank you very much for your answer and for this help....

unfortunately this "raw" translation always remains a little bit obscure.

But this allows despite everything, to see that these documents are of civil nature.

       Regards,

      Patout

    2. Good morning everyone,

I have these three documents in my collection and I have no idea of what they are ! I need your help for identifying them.... if possible.!

      nb:

Documents without watermark so I don’t think they are very important or interesting ???

      Thanks for your opinion

    3. Hi Nick,

I bought a small collection of sakazuki (about 30 pieces) and I look forward to hearing what event they commemorate.

On the other hand, I don’t want to abuse your kindness and look like I’m exploiting the good will.

Allow me to ask for more help for the translation of 3 more cups, and for the rest I would wait for next year... I promise it !

PS : Do you know a good English book to advise me on military sake cups ?

      Regards

      Patout

in advance... thanks for your answer

      Regards

    5. A document case of a private infantry superior, name ?? : Katayose ???? I am not at all sure of the translation of the name, if anyone can confirm me (or not !) and tell me what the correct translation is.

This soldier was decorated on the same day (Showa 13 on 23 October) of the order of the rising sun 8th class, the golden kite 7th class and the medal of the incident with China.

It seems strange to me that he is decorated on the same day with these three medals, is it exceptional or not ? have you often met this ?

thank you for your valuable help

      Regards

    6. Dear fellow collectors

I have this diploma from the Japanese Russo War.

There’s nothing unusual about it, except the little papers that were stuck on it.

Is that someone can tell me what it says on it. I would also like to know the name of the soldier and his rank.

      Thanks for your help,

      Patout

    7. Hi Nick

Here are the two-sided photos of the medal I hope it will help you for dating order.

I have some tamatebako miyake boxes but unfortunately most of the medals have no markings, except the ones I spotted.

The 3rd class is in a standard case but can be era Taisho? what do you think? the medal has a M punch.

the 6th class medal (3rd photo, bottom left) next to the 3rd class medal with standard case seems to me the oldest of all, maybe Meiji era?

      Regards

      Patout
