Thanks Bayern. My collection is a very small sample, there were many veterans associations that sprang up across the republic after WW1 with a variety of badges and medals, some with multiple clasps, just the Kyffhauser 1914-1918 War Veterans Commemorative Medal alone has about 76 official clasps.

So many veteran associations jumped in and brought out their own medals. But as said very interesting part of German history. I am looking forward to see more of it.

Not sure why this picture in is a 100 books but it is not the commonly used picture of Hitler(even though it is the same location). I do not believe Hitler is actually in the picture. The picture below is the picture usually used to show Hitler at this location:

Thanks. The case's catch/button looks a little different from the first one shown in this thread so I was not entirely sure. I know both Zimmermann and AWS made these crosses, I was unsure whether they made all the cases as well and whether this one was one of them. 

I would value any opinions on this 1st class cross and the case it came in:
