    1. Can someone tell me more information on these badges please. I can't find any information at all about them at all.
    2. Can someone tell me a bit more about these French Medals for the National Society for the Encouragement of Good please. I can find very little on the Society and even less on why the medals were awarded and what the different types of medals were for - there seems to be a few versions s for that organisation. I bought them recently, they don't really fit with the WW1 and WW2 theme of my collection, but they were so attractive I couldn't resist.
    3. Hello, I noticed this odd combination of WW2 medals for sale. Both sets are mounted and doesn't look like they were recently mounted. Was it feasible to earn these combination of medals without also being awarded at least the 1939-1945 War Medal too?
    4. Can anyone tell me if this badge relates to WW2 or not please? Looked on Google and a few sites say WW1 and others WW2, or course it could be neither?
    5. Thank you for the information. I've had this medsl for the last year and only just noticed the bar is wrong!
    6. Hi, I've had this in my collection for quite a while. Only just sunk in though that the bar is 1937 and the Ethiopia campaign ended in 1936. If it's therefore on the wrong medal can someone tell me which Italian medal it belongs on please?
    7. Hi, thanks for that. Just Googled 'Florentine Bronze', seems its a modern term for the metal its made from, so confirms its a modern made copy.
    8. Hello, I bought this recently as a copy. Can someone tell me what the makers mark is on the ribbon loop please, it looks like EAPLO on the left arm and a cornucopia on the right arm.
    9. Hello, I bought it off a guy in the UK on Ebay. Shame it's not still with the family. Wonder how it came to be in the UK. Do your family have his other medals?
    10. Can I have people's views on the authenticity of this Croix de Yser please. I've not bought it or anything, l was just wondering on whether it's a copy or not. The green enamelling on the top circular part looked a little out.
    11. Bit of a longshot but does anyone know where I can get a blue ribbon star for the silver Medaille Reconnaissance Française? Been looking for years on Ebay and other sites without success.
    12. Yes, that's what I thought. The obverse seems to have been used on quite a few medals and plaques.
    13. Hello, thank you for the information. Kind regards, Duncan.
    14. Yes, they seem quite common, but can't find any information on them.
    15. Can someone please identify this medal and tell me what it was awarded for. Its dated 1916 but not sure its anything to do with the war. Thank you, Duncan.
    16. Thanks everyone. Actually, I seem to remember asking this same question on this site a while ago. Sorry, my memory's going!
    17. Could someone tell me please the award criteria for the Grande-Bretagne bar on the French WW2 Commemorative War Medal. Is it service with the Free French forces but solely in the UK, so no active service outside the UK during the war?
    18. Hello, I've got a few 1939/45 Stars to men from the Jodhpur Infantry. Some named '2 Jodhpur Infantry SF' others 'Jodhpur Sardar Infantry SF'. Anyone known the reason for the difference in unit name, and where and when they served? Thank you, Duncan.
    19. That's absolutely fantastic, thank you. I had no idea French military documents were available. I'll run it through Google translate tonight - unfortunately my French is practically non-existent. Very interesting too about the medal. I was confused as to what mutual benefit societies actually were, thank you for clarifying for me. Thank you again. Duncan.
