Thank you for sharing your knowledge on this subject. It's disappointing to learn that the badge in my collection is not a genuine piece. -I've seen a couple of rather crude fakes of this item, but never one with this level of attention to detail, or quality of construction.

Here are two photographs of an early Soviet aviation badge designed by the artist and graphic designer Alexander Rodchenko. Questions: Is this a civilian aviation award or a military award? Does this badge date from the 1920s, or 1930s? Any assistance in clarifying these matters would be greatly appreciated. -John
