    1. I was wondering whether anyone might be able to help me with the history of Humberside & South Yorkshire Army Cadet Force in general and, getting rather specific, B Company (was, back in the day, the old Number 4 Area), and even Wolds Detachment (originally Caves Detachment), who are badged Light Dragoons (originally 13th/18th Royal Hussars (Queen Mary’s Own))? I went through this wonderful organisation some years ago and was wondering about its history… Does anyone have any information, sources or photos? Whilst I’m interested in all of the history, I’m especially interested in the periods from formation up to the 1990s. Humberside & South Yorkshire Army Cadet Force (was East Riding Army Cadet Force, the Humberside Army Cadet Force) I know very little about the early days of Humberside and South Yorkshire Army Cadet Force beyond what I’ve got from these two sources: ‘ The E.R. Of Y. ACF became affiliated to the Royal Artillery Regiment [I suspect that this just relates to Hedon Detachment] and now wears that Regiment’s badge. In 1974, the name changed again, this time to Humberside ACF and two years later, the Hedon detachment moved from Magdalen Camp to the new training establishment at Great Driffield. In 1990, further reorganisation produced the name Humberside and South Yorkshire ACF and soon after its formation, the force recruited girls for the first time.’ History of ACF in Hedon: https://hedonblog.co.uk/2021/05/12/hedon-army-cadets-diamond-celebration-but-longer-history/ ‘ David enlisted as an Army Cadet in 1967, and joined the ACF as an Instructor in September 1972, and was the last officer commissioned into the East Riding ACF in March 1974, before amalgamation into Humberside ACF.’ A short bio on Col David Fuller: http://www.wcremembered.co.uk/fame.html The formation flashes for East Riding Army Cadet Force are below: https://deadspartan.co.uk/shop.php?code=55241 https://gradiamilitaria.com/shop.php?code=55228 I don’t have an example of the Humberside Army Cadet Force flash; however, the Humberside Army Cadet Force flash is below; https://armycadets.com/county/humberside-and-south-yorkshire-acf/ Formation: Predecessors? date to date?
