Order Glory III 50876
Michaelwave replied to Egorka's topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
Fantastic award -
First of all I wish you all the best for the next year. Bravery medals with such a high number have a very special place in my heart. Generally every number over 3 million. Awarded to Ollejnikov Mark Dmitrievich. “During battles for the village Almásmező (hungarian name/ modern day Bicaz-Chei in Romania) he annihilated an enemy firing point with his machine gun”

It seems to me that this is a rather late awarding for such a number. When I bought it I hoped for an earlier decree date. But nevertheless very interesting. Awarded to Markon Lev Iosifovich. Chief of medical service. 3rd Ukrainian front. Evacuation hospital Nr. 2920 Very hard to read the document 🥲 Russian is my second language. Tried to make the best of it with everything I could decipher. “Major of the medical service Comrade Markon has been working as the head of the medical department since September 3, 1942. He is 62 years old, but he works tirelessly around the clock. The workload of his department often reaches 200%. The mortality rate in the department, thanks to great care and qualified treatment is 0.2%(could be 20.2/ barely readable) . The discharge into the unit is 21.5%; the percentage of evacuation reaches almost 50%. About 100 wounded received qualified atom-something (I really can’t read this) treatment from the department during a short-term stay there. In 1943, Markon joined the candidates of the All-Union Communist Party. With reports on political and medical topics, Comrade Markon actively participates in the socio-political ... . With his work, unlimited devotion to the deeds ... of the sick, he serves as a perfect example for younger comrades.” -

Very interesting map. I’m not really familiar with army terms and so on. Does anyone know what the “1/“ mean in the map ? for example 1/400 СП -
This one was awarded to Avakov Ivan Danilovich. Rifleman of the 400th rifle regiment. Such an interesting awarding to a brave fighter! “When repelling 8 fierce enemy attacks on the bridgehead west of the Oder River, comrade Avakov inspired the rest of the fighters with his bold actions. He met the attackers with grenades and well-aimed bullets. By the end of the battle 11 people were killed.”

This forum seems a bit quiet so I’ll just add some interesting awards from my collection This one was awarded to Zapesochny Nikifor Jakovlevich. A participant of the landing operation in Eltigen. While the landing was at first, a success, the landing in Eltigen was annihilated and many including Zapesochny were taken prisoner. “Comrade Zapesochny took part in the landing operation for the liberation of the Kerch peninsula. Landed in the night of November 1 in the Eltigen area. Direct fire from his cannon annihilated more than 15 German soldiers, 3 enemy firing points and 2 vehicles with cargo.”

Just to show this little award. Awarded to rifleman. And his only award for the war! Nikolenko Kuz’ma Pavlovich During the battles at Hohenkrug (today Zdunowo near Szczecin) on the 8th of March 1945 under heavy enemy mortar and artillery fire he was the first to go into the attack and the first to burst into the enemy trenches. He noticed that a sniper was hitting us from the right site. He set up an ambush and annihilated 2 enemy snipers with his rifle.

I love red star. Even if they are a little bit damaged. There’s always a valuable and interesting story behind it. This one was awarded to Uljanov Vladimir Leontjevich. Quite a young platoon commander. For Manchuria.

Order badge of honor Nr. 4391

I appreciate everyone’s concern to the authenticity of this award. I do trust the opinions of experts on Sammler.ru. I have also consulted with experts that I know personally and I believe this to be a real piece. although, like said before, I haven’t seen any numbers in this range with a similar engraving style either. to answer the question. Yes mine is the same award as the one posted on Sammler -
Just to show you guys this beautiful award in my collection. Awarded to Tankopjev Fedor Gavrilovich. Chief of the 5th headquarters of the 15th tank division (im not sure how to translate that properly into English so I apologize for that ) Decree from 16.08.1936. during battles in July and August 1941 his units were surrounded and captured by German units near Uman. He spent the rest of the war in a POW camp
