@Shots Dave; thank you for the input. Association Nationale des Résistants-Combattants makes sense for the abbreviation A.N.R.C.. Info on the internet is however limited on a Belgian organization with this name.

National colors as a ribbon for a Veteran organization is not un-common, so I believe correct. And both yours as mine have them.

@Werner; yes agree, non governmental issued medals. But medals issued by organizations can be interesting as well. At least to me.

@VC89; thank you for identifying this piece. Nice item! Although issued by an organization, the medal is acknowledged by the Ministry of Defense.

1^st Medal:

Honneur et Devoir

A.N.R.C.

1940-1944

-          Likely an un-official remembrance medal, but I cannot find the abbreviation A.N.R.C. online.

Which organization is this?

2^nd Medal:

Travail Belgique – Merite

Arbeid Belgie – Verdienste

-          I am aware of the Laureaten van de arbeid, the Eredekens and the Eretekens van de arbeid, but I have not seen this “Verdienste” medal before. Is it an official medal?

3^rd Medal:

My guess is a Belgian medal for veterans of an EU Peace mission?

Together with some polish medals:

-          Commemorative Cross for Operation Storm of the Home Army 1944-1945 (Krzyż Akcja Burza Armii Krajowej 1944-1945)

-          Medal of the Armed Forces in the Service of the Fatherland in Bronze (Medal Siły Zbrojne w Służbie Ojczyzny w kolorze brązowym)

-          Military cross of the Polish armed forces in the West (Krzyz Czynu Bojowego Polskich Sil Zbrojnych na zachodzie) + clasp Bolonia

Together with some other medals came this Hungarian National Defence Cross (Nemzetvédelmi Kereszt). I checked the internet and see some poor examples are out there, but I cannot believe this is a good one.

Could someone confirm this one is a Fake/Replica.

I bought recently a grouping of DDR badges and stickpins and included were as well some items of the CCCP.

I could identify them, with the exception of these 7.

Can someone identify them for me? The top 6 feel like something belonging to the Youth Movement?

The bottom Stickpin I have no idea. Could even be from another Warschaupact country, as the design looks different from the rest of the CCCP items included. Maybe Hungarian?

Dear all,

I hope someone can identify these German Stickpins for me.

In theory the should be from the BRD.

The Gold, Silver, Bronze stickpins are of the Deutscher Schützenbund, looking at the initials at the bottom, but I cannot find this variant online. (it can be ofcourse just me).

The next one looks like a pin of a town, province or something like that.

The last one is coloured red/white/blue with a “G” in the middle.

I hope someone can assist.

I hope someone can identify these modern medals for me.

They were in a Belgian lot, So I think they are, although I am not sure.

Medal 1: Text “Pro Patria”. Reverse is flat.

Medal 2: Text Jusqu’au bout Premier Toujours Reverse 1914-1918 / 1940-1945 with Adrian helmet

Medal 3: see pictures. I suspect this one to be French. School related?

Finally a cap badge. No clue on this one except it came with the other items.

Dear all,

I have a question on a very common French medal, but I am a bit confused by the variety.

My questions is about the Médaille d'honneur du travail.

I know there are 4 grades (Argent, Vermeil, Or, Grand Or) and I know the medal has been updated per decree, so over time the medal has possible changed.

I have seen and own variations in text and images of this medal and I have also 2 boxes issued by different French ministries.

I have examples with the text:

“Honneur travail” with image of an Hamer (Industry?)

“Honneur travail” with image of an agricultural tools (Agriculture?)

“Ministère du Travail et de la Sécurité Sociale” (Social Work?)

“Ministère du Travail” (General?)

And boxes:

“Ministere du Travail et de la Prevoyance Sociale”

“Ministere du Commerce et de l’industrie”

So I have the feeling several ministries issued their own versions of the same medal.

Is there somewhere an overview on this medal which lists the variations and gives some context to them: Ministery = type of medal.

I know it is not a spectacular medal, but I like them, so I am interested to collect the variations.

Help is appreciated.

I purchased a large lot of medals, which included some items I desired, but it also brought some other medals into my home.

2 of those are these British Pacific and Africa Stars.

They look to me “new”. Could someone confirm they are restrikes.

I suspected The Kroonorde, due to the typical crown on the box, but I was not suspecting any of the Palm or Medals due to the lack of the K. See a picture of my small Kroonorde collection. The lower boxes are with "text" and my the boxes I already owned have G.P.K. or G.M.K.

Learned something new!

Quick question on this box with M. 1e: do you know that one? Burgelijke Medaille 1st Class maybe? But I only know them with text B. Medaille.

I just purchased some Belgian medals and medal boxes.

One of the boxes made by ‘Fisch Bruxelles” has letters Z.P. on it.

Does anyone know the meaning of this. Possibly an abbreviation of the medal.

On the Medal for liberal union membership; I see 3 different examples on your picture. Can I presume, there is Gold, Silver and Bronze class, or only 1st Class (Gold) and 2nd Class (Silver) as middle and right examples are different variants from silver.

I expected the one on the left to be indeed a Veterans Cross, but maybe someone knows which group.
