    1. Hello everyone, I am looking for information on certain officers of the infantry-regiment nr. 116 (first name, successive postings, possibly photos...) - oberstleutnant Fritz Junge (it seems he served with IR 135) - Major Kühl (several times Rgt Kdr of IR 117 during the conflict) - Major Erich Mansfeld (Rgt Kdr IR 116 from 04/12/1917 (offz der armee 29/08/1918) - Major Meyn (Rgt Kdr of IR 117 from 27/11/1917 to 03/12/1917 (I did find another Major Meyn as regiment-kommandeur of RIR 230 but is this the same officer?) thank you in advance with kind regards Joel
    2. Many thanks hucks216. Now all I need to do is find a researcher willing to help me with this. If anyone reads me and is comfortable with this kind of request, any help is welcome. Thanks in advance. sincerely Joel
    3. Hello Hucks216 Thank you for your feedback. I'm new to this, but is this file available online? Or do I have to apply to the Bundesarchiv in Berlin-Lichterfeld to obtain a copy? Thank you in advance. sincerely Joel here are the images of the sword
    4. Hi Hucks216, Thank you for this information, it is indeed the same man. I have gathered other information on this officer elsewhere. His name was Erich Ernst Wilhelm Kramme, born on 03/04/1875 in Berlin. He died on 19/04/1959, also in Berlin. He would also have been a Major in the Orstkommandantur I./727 in Berlin Wilmersdorf, Hindenburgstr. 19 before going to Bordeaux in 1942. My contact has a sabre belonging to him with the date 1 July 1941. I will try to recover photos of this sabre and show them on the forum. Thanks again. sincerely Joel
    5. Hello everyone, I am looking for information on Major a.D Erich Kramme. It seems that he was stationed at the kommandantur in Bordeaux (France) on 27/01/1942. Thanking you in advance sincerely Joel
    6. Hi Andy, Thank you very much for your comprehensive reply. I now know everything about this officer's career. Thank you also for taking the time to reply. Sincerely Joel
    7. Hello everyone, I am looking for information on Major Hans Thassilo Krug Von Nidda: - He is initially and at mobilisation listed as kommandeur of the 2nd battalion of IR 94 then as Regiment-führer of the same regiment from 22/11/1914 to 01/12/1914. - I find him as Regiment-kommandeur of IR 96 from 02/02/1915 to 01/01/1916. - Was it he who took command of RIR 51 from 16/05/1917? - and how long did he remain at the head of this regiment? thank you in advance for those who want to help me friendly Joel
    8. Good evening Prussian, Thank you for the information. His time in command of the 40 BI was unknown to me. He was therefore placed between oberst Arthur Von Lindequist and generalmajor Ferdinand Von Stockhausen who began his command on 16/09/1914. Most certainly a period of command as Brigade Führer. Very interesting. Thank you again for your information and the time spent to find it for me. cordially Joel
    9. Hello The Prussian, That's a shame. Anyway, thanks for taking the trouble to look and for replying. I appreciate it. Sincerely Joel
    10. Good evening to you all, I am looking for a picture of Oberst Adolf Von Roques commanding the Infantry Regiment Nr. 77 from mobilisation to 23/01/1915. If somebody has the history... Thank you in advance. cordially Joel
    11. Hello Glenn, Many thanks for this information. I've come to the same conclusions as you. I found traces of our General in the 1st Reserve Infantry Brigade from 17/09/1914. Then to the 31st Reserve Infantry Brigade from 28/12/1914. He took command of the 29th Ersatz Brigade on 06/04/1915 and died on 19/12/1915 at the same post. I do not see how he could have commanded the 8th Ersatz Division during 1915 (although the caption to the photo I have attached indicates otherwise). Unless he only commanded this division in an interim capacity or as a substitute, as "divisionFührer".... Thank you again and have a nice day. Sincerely Joel
    12. Dear Sirs, I need your advice on Generalmajor Jung commanding the 8 EDI in 1915. If his first name is indeed "Karl", I find him at the 1st Reserve Infanterie Brigade from 17/09/1914. Then to the 31st Reserve Infantry Brigade from 28/12/1914. To the 29th Ersatz Brigade from 06/04/1915 then to the 255 DI from 03/07/1918. The history of IR 364 tells me that our general also commanded the 8 Ersatz DI during 1915. My questions are: - Is this Generalmajor Karl Heinrich Louis Paul Jung? - What was his period of command of the 8 EDI in 1915? Here is a photo of our general. Thanking you in advance with kind regards Joel
    13. Good evening to you all, I am looking for information on Major Hans Von Massenbach commanding FR 33 from 29/08/1916 to 04/02/1917. Can you find out about his career during the First World War? Thanking you in advance sincerely Joel
    14. Hi Dave, Thanks for your reply. For the history of this regiment there is this one: Vereinigung des ehem. R.-Inf.-Regt. 88 Hanau: "Regimentsgeschichte des Reserve-Infanterie- Regiments 88", Hanau 1932. and another more contemporary book: Jens Arndt, Das Hanauer Reserve-Infanterie-Regiments Nr.88 im Weltkrieg 1914-18, Hanau 1999, (Selbstverlag: archivum militares), 144 Seiten. but I can find no trace of either. with kind regards Joel
    15. Hello everyone, Following the discovery of this officer's trunk in France, I would have liked to find some information on this Leutnant Zurbach of the RIR 88. I have found no trace of the history of this regiment which seems to have become untraceable. Thank you for anything you can tell me about our man and if anyone has a history of this regiment (a miracle is always possible) .... Thanking you in advance sincerely Joel
    16. Good evening Mike and Glenn, Many thanks for your prompt reply. That's the problem with identifying Rgt Führers. Very often the first names are not mentioned and it becomes very difficult to identify the people. I often have the same problem with the Btn Kdrs whose first names do not appear on the histories... You have to be patient to find the links. Have a good weekend and see you soon. Friendly Joel
    17. Hello everyone, I am looking for information on Major Von Peschke (I do not know his first name), commander of the 1st Btn of IR 52 at mobilisation. It would seem that he then joined the GR 12 as Rgt.Führer from 25/09/1914. I then found a trace of an Oberslteutnant Von Peschke (without a first name) as Rgt.Kdr of IR 20 from 05 February to 03 October 1917. Is this the same officer? Here is a photo of the one mentioned in the history of IR 20. thank you in advance sincerely Joel
    18. Hello Andy, Many thanks for this very detailed information. It will be a great help. All I have to do now is try to find an image of our man. Bien amicalement Joel
    19. Hello to all of you, I am looking for information about Oberst Otto Von Trautmann, commander of the infantry-regiment Nr. 55 from 27/01/1914 to 30/09/1914. Was he also in command of the: - 19 BI from 17/02/1916 - 237 BI from 17/02/1916 - 71 BI from 05/09/1917 - 20 DI from 03/02/1917 to 25/03/1918? thank you in advance cordially Joel
    20. Hello everyone, I am looking for information on Generalleutnant Max Von Müller. According to my research, he commanded the 37 DI from 22/07/1916 to 17/06/1917 then the GenKdo 54 from 17/06/1917. Was he in command of the 34th Feldartillerie Brigade in August 1914 then the 78 DIR from 24 December 1914 to 20 July 1916? thank you in advance cordially Joel

    22. Good evening to you all, I am looking for information (and possibly a picture) on Generalleutnant Konstanz von Heineccius.
