    1. And it is history of its occurrence in my house. At leisure I like to come to places where there was a war .This day I have gone to a wood near to the city of Rzhev .Rzhev old Russian city in 250 kilometers from Moscow .It is known that in 1942-1943 to year here passed heavy bloody fights .It is known that in these fights the Soviet Army has lost more 1 000 000 the person .In these woods in October, 1942 my grandfather was lost also. Today it is possible to see-where there passed a front line

    2. George, these are parade kivers used by Guard regiments, this particular one having silver "galun", blue band and yellow piping belonged to Guard Keksholmsky regiment, the only thing is the cocade is restored and the scroll is incorrect for that regiment

I can not argue with you. I not the big expert on imperial army. Quite probably it is Keksholmsky. However the scroll real historical. I shall try to show a photo from a museum with very similar cap.

    3. Truly interesting thing Sergey!

What is the thickness of the steel?

It is affixed to the body with rifle slings?

Thickness of steel about 3 mm. Fastened belts of various kinds. At the front used also fastening by weapon belts. On a photo a belt from automatic gun PPSH To long years in the USSR the military history and ammunition WW2 was uninteresting for many people. Because after war of all this in huge quantities rolled in woods and fields. There was a weight of others problems construct cities and villages. As a result today it is difficult to see many things of a uniform and ammunition RKKA

    4. Beautiful cap! :jumping:

I cant seem to find nice originals here in the US.

Lots of museum copies around, but the prices are out of line.

Can you tell us what branch of service its from?

      Thanks

      George

      George,

Forgive, I am possible(probable) has badly understood a question. This cap has a silver lace (a silver tape) the Silver tape for the officer form On metal plate is written for bravery .The cap is found in the city of Tver where in 1914-1917 there were army warehouses and Cavalry school of Russian army .Color of a cap is specified probably the property of the officer Preobrazhenskiy shelf. However I doubt of this property.Inside inscription-N2 (Nicolas 11)

    5. Yep- thats the one. Interesting. What would she be doing in Hungary in 1946? Is this a badge that one would wear after you entered military service? Or is this only for an active member in the Kommosol? Ooooorrrr was the Kommosol brought in to help feed the starving kids of Hungary (this was a popular propoganda type of photo after the war "soviet soldeires give food to the needy children of /you pick the Hungarian town/")???

The All-Union Lenin communistic union of youth - the organization in which 70 percent of young men 27 years consisted approximately is more younger
