Some photos of the Point Cook Air Force museum's P-51D which was rolled out for a flying display at Point Cook last weekend,

this aircraft was restored over a 10 year period, and is painted to represent a RAAF 77 Sqn aircraft based at Iwakuni, Japan as

part of the Commonwealth Forces Of Occupation. (AM-G, A68-750). It is really A68-170.

Thanks guys, I have 2 with flight piping already, so this makes number three, and I almost didn't go for it, but

once I saw the condition I couldn't pass it up. Scott, there is no markings at all that I could find inside the

sweatband, which is made of a sort of 'oilcloth' type material. It came from a friend in Brisbane who bought it

from Mike Heuer in the US.
