    1. ...a rather shiny looking SA tinnie this time... ...can't beat a tinnie showing a 'Deutschland Erwache' standarte! (as per another tinnie thread running nearby ;-) "S.A. Standarte 3, Standarte-Erhebung (Forchheim, Deutschland Erwache) 22.4.1934" .
    2. ...SA ! ...this very nice SA tinnie has a really solid feel to it, even though it is hollow-backed... ...I'm very impressed with the whole design of the tinnie...the large central SA roundel, perfectly formed...with the 'hakenkreuz' arms behind.... ...fairly chuffed with this one! "SA Brigade 45 Aufmarsch, 24.Juni 1934" .
    3. ...thanks Colin...I had planned on doing a group shot of a few of the SA tinnies that I own... ...just need to think of a nice artistic background... ...it's so very difficult to find new SA tinnies at the moment....there's not much around just now...
    4. ...it's been a bit quiet round here lately.... ...SA! ...I'm only guessing here, but is the number '30' which features at the bottom of the tinnie possibly the Standarte number? "SA Sporttreffen der Standarte Waldeck in Corbach, 16-17.Juni 1934" .
    5. ...a very fine selection of tinnies Pete....thanks again for sharing...
    6. ...the crossguard is area stamped 'Mi'.....identical to the previous dagger... ...I would have liked to have posted images of a pre-1933 A.G. Erde made SA dagger (to complete the Schmalkalden hat-trick)....apparently these are fairly difficult to find....but maybe one day! ...Gebr?der Heller, Schmalkalden... .
    7. ...and now another Schmalkalden made SA dagger, by Gebr?der Heller... ...pre-1933 solid nickel (the best kind to have!)... .
    8. ...the crossguard is area stamped 'Mi', along with the number '9118'... ...note the very light greying on the blade next to the maker's mark....nothing that detracts from what a great looking dagger this is...(in humble opinion!) ...Adolf V?lker, Schmalkalden... .
    9. Hi, This is a pre-1933 solid nickel SA dagger, made by Adolf V?lker in Schmalkalden. As far as I am aware, there were three dagger makers located in Schmalkalden....but if I'm wrong about this, feel free to correct me The three makers known to me are, Adolf V?lker, Gebr?der Heller, and A.G. Erde.... Personally I have always prefered the early daggers instead of the later period RZM marked daggers. The lighting in this photo wasn't as good as I had planned, so it gives the impression that the scabbard is almost black (like a NSKK dagger)...it is most definitely a dark brown, compared to the lighter brown handle... .
    10. Thanks Pete.... ...another SA ! ...I seem to be finding a lot from 'Chemnitz'...must have been a popular SA location... ...my favourite combination on a tinnie....SA roundel, eagle & a hakenkreuz... "SA Brigadetreffen, Chemnitz 1933" .
    11. ...remember me ??? ...after a major virus problem...rebooting and reloading...hopefully I can continue with no ill effects... ...(for anyone who was in touch with me privately, please make contact again, I lost my entire email address book ) ...so here's a new SA tinnie...about the same size as the standard NSDAP membership badge... ...I'm quite chuffed with this one...anything pre-1933 is always a bonus...I like the simplistic style of this badge... "S.A. Marschiert in Hessen, Juli 1932" .
    12. ..very nice tinnies Don.....and I'm still very impressed with the way that your scanner can pick up such small detail from photos....
    13. ...more tin! ...this SA tinnie must have been hiding away at the back of someone's sock drawer...it's in great condition, the reverse has practically no signs of aging... "2. Deutsche Gep?ckmarschmeisterschaft - 28.4.35, Brigade 35, Leipzig" .
    14. ...I'm raising a glass of red wine southwards just for you! ...I've picked up a few more SA myself, but after flicking back through to the start of this thread I noticed some had already been posted by yourself and others, so instead of duplicating the images I think I will post a 'group' shot at some point....just to show 'em off.....
    15. ...WOW !....... ..that is seriously one very nice looking tinnie that you've got Pete....
    16. ..aye, aye Pete, looks like you've been busy....more nice tinnies!
    17. ...very nice Pete, very nice indeed.... ...I already have the Bremen '36 tinnie (also in gold).....but not the Bremen '32 tinnie.... ...looking good !!!
    18. ...to return back to tinnies made from tin.... ...here's a solid-backed piece....good bit of weight....about 52mm long, with a needle pin to reverse which itself is about 56mm long... "1.Wintersport-Treffen der SA-Gruppe Th?ringen, 13.u.14.1.1934, Zella-Mehlis-Obersch?nau" .
    19. ...and here's the reverse side of the same disc....matched up with a small photo of a SA musiker from the same Standarte 354 (note collar patch).... "Standarte 354, Lengenfeld I.V. 3./4.11.1934" .
