I picked these up during my first trip to Iraq in 2003. It looks like the two on the right bear the Saddam Fedayeen helmet, I really have no idea what they represent. I have other Iraqi army insignia, patches, helmets, I will post a few pics in hopes that anyone could shed some light on exactly what they represent.

I found a 2nd award variation at vicmart.com, but I don't know about the copyright on the photo so I won't post it here. I also saw a 3rd award variation sold on ebay for about $250 USD. Does anyone know if that is about what the market price for this badge is currently at? Also, what is the policy on ebay photos? I saved the photos of the 3rd award variation, but don't want to violate any rules by posting it here.

Does anyone have one of these badges? I am assuming that they are fairly uncommon, only because I don't see one posted here. Any info would be great!

Doesnt Italy have any wound badges or medals??
I was recently browsing online and I saw this badge offered as "WW1 ITALY WAR WOUNDED VETERANS BADGE MUTILATI INVALIDI". Has anyone seen this badge before?

#1 is swastika and letters, #2 is reference photo to the center door at the top of the steps

I photographed this swastika and what appears to be the word "heil" on one of the steps near the top of the rally stand. Might this have originally said "sieg hiel"? The swastika isn't set as deeply as the letters are. Does anyone know if either of these were placed in these steps during the original construction, or were they added in later years by locals or sightseers?

Hallo Sivart just where is this location pictured??
Sorry did not realize it was a quiz
Kevin in Deva.
I though that I had some "then" pictures of this area, but I can't find any of these type of trenches. This is in Verdun, just down the hill from Fort De Douamont. The road to the fort is lined with these trenches and the remains of small fortifications. Does anyone have any pictures showing the soldiers using these trenches? I think that they were intended for messengers to use as cover as they traversed the area, but I am not sure. They seem kind of shallow to have been used specifically as fighting positions.

Right you are Soviet. Nice town to visit, lots of cool stuff to see.

Do you have any of the two piece CIBs? I recently saw one and am interested in further information about them. Nice badges, I like the uncommon backs of the first one.

You got it. From what I could determine using old drawings, I think that this may have been part of the area used by the 506th before their move into Foy. I am not sure however, just speculating.

I visited here in Sept-Oct of 05, wonderful area. One of my favorite battlegrounds, the sheer numbers involved were incredible.

I recently aquired a Meritorious Service Citation for a PVT John E. Lawler, E Btry 103rd FA. I am curious if anyone knows how many of these certificates were produced and if the president's signature was printed at the same time as the rest of the citation or if it was added later.
