    1. So, the Langensalza medal is from 1866 yet Adolf Gustav Hermann Kellner and his wife Margarete Goetze were born in 1873 and 1877 so "A. Goetze" must be her father I'd imagine. So, anyone know anything about a Gustav Adolf Hermann Kellner born in Germany 1873? Or his wife Margarete Goetze or her father A. Goetze who fought at Langensalza? I now think that the medals and swords are older than Hermann and Margarete and belong to Margaretes father A. Goetze. As for the fraternity medal that names Kellner I think that belongs to Gustav aka Hermann and is unrelated to the war medals named to Goetze. So, It's a Goetze > Kellner family collection. Most of the valuables passed down from A. Goetze to his daughter and her husband Hermann Kellner who added the fraternity medal and maybe the ring. I suppose it's still possible E. Marx on the fraternity medal is Eduard Marx and Hermann could still be related to N4ZI i mean it's possible since a known NSDAP member Bonneman had the same fraternity medal. So best case scenario is that this is a family collection from Goetze that merged with Herman Kellner who was a N4ZI. I would have to prove that E. Marx is Eduard. The iron cross ring dates 1914 so maybe that belongs to Hermann not Goetze. Right? If the iron cross ring is N4ZI related, then that points towards Hermann being N4ZI related or about to be which strengthens this theory. Or would a guy who fought at langensalza have a 1914 ring somehow? I need to figure out more about Margeret's dad, uncles etc. I had to give my official theory after all that.
    2. - I leaned that Berlin S.S. is a steamship. So, the fraternity medal is about a steamship journey in 1895, I guess. - The other fraternity medal I show below is the one belonging to Bonneman the NSDAP member. It's almost identical but different logo. - I've seen a similar belt buckle here... - What's up with the iron cross ring? it says 1914 on it. - The French medal of honor still needs to be explained if possible. - Note I added the N4Z1 stuff in the last picture because I'm including all of this stuff when I list it for sale someday. I'd like to know what sort of helmet this Goetze/Kellner person would have worn. The person that sold this too me says he's got more stuff, and I intend on trying to win that stuff as well if I can make sense of it all by then. buying more of it while still in the dark would be sort of lame. This Goetze/Kellner person is my guy. I must learn who he is exactly. He's the number 9 just like me. found this... https://www.shutterstock.com/editorial/search/gustav-adolf-graf-von-goetze Gustav Adolf Goetze???
    3. I'm thinking more and more that A. Goetze on the war medal and H. Kellner on the fraternity medal are the same person! That makes way more sense than his wife having a brother and those being his. I think Adolph Goetze is an alias for Hermann Goetze and they put the alias on the war medal. Perhaps because Gustav Adolf is his royal name, but Hermann is his real name. Then he married Kellner and changed his name to hers perhaps to disconnect his Goetze identity from the Kellner's, which was used for N4z1 related business, Then the family flees from Germany around 1920 to New York. Until someone disagrees, this is my working theory. Sorry to go on and on. Just trying my best to use my brain here. I'm done now.
    4. Eduard Marx is an SS general, and Hermann Kellner was an SS officer. I mean those two ppl exist. So perhaps it's Eduard giving it to Kellner in 1895 years before the nazi party? Maybe Kellner is the 9th NSDAP member. The list I saw stopped at 8 and stated again at 12. 9 is carved into the handle of the sword with 9 dots. im working so hard on this. AI says langensalza medal could belong to a Hermann Goetze who fought at that time. So maybe A. Goetze on the medal is Adolf Goetze aka Hermann Goetze aka Gustav Adolf Kellner, and he married Margurite Kellner Goetze (So Kellner is her name not Goetze) and then his name changed from Hermann Goetze to Hermann Kellner and in 1895 he was given the fraternity badge by E. Marx and then both E. Marx (Eduard Marx) and Hermann Kellner later joined the SS???? That is actually sounding quite good. Just the odds of there being a Hermann Goetze who fought at that time and how all these famous names are everywhere.... and Gustav Adolf is a name used by royalty a lot....i understand its a "common name" but the odds are still incredible that the one name AI can tell me about that langensalza war happens to be Hermann Goetze!?! I asked how it knew that and it said it search historical database USING THE APPROPRIATE KEYWORDS. So of all the names in the world that might combine with Goetze and that particular war AI only knows of one... and its Hermann?? I think I've done pretty good without doing the background checks yet. I should wait to see what others have to say.
    5. swords, Goetze medals and Hanover medals, Margurite Goetze Kellner, E. Marx & H. Kellner SS Berlin 95 NSDAP member and Wondervogel, Gustav Adolf Kellner aka Hermann Kellner, Erich Marx art collector from Berlin, fencing, Dorthea Kellner Shwartz, Russel Schwartz, arrived from Germany in New York around 1920, the number 9 carved into the sword handle, star of David on the saber, the shoulder boards with "II" on them, a French legion of honor medal... I think those are all the puzzle pieces. Would it help to see the saber better? I'm sorry but this just screams important that we figure this out. I think if we can learn more about the E. Marx fraternity badge and what it means to be an NSDAP member this case will crack wide open. Bruh its totally something N4z1 related bro I mean what if this is some name changing for THAT reason bro. Gustav Adolf Kellner... Bro do I have Hitlers own Saber? lol. Sorry if I sound dumb, I really don't know my history. I'm certain this stuff belongs to a NSDAP member named Herman Kellner as well as an E. Marx I mean how many could there be? Maybe they renamed the medals to hide identity?
    6. I think it has to do with a fencing fraternity. The swords look like the ones used for that sort of thing they are tiny and petite one is literally a child's sword I think because my hand can't fit in it. here is one just like it but i can't tell what this is... Wandervogel buckle from an early NSDAP member and several owners items after looking at that one could it be that the owner is E. Marx not Kellner? Because the one in the link was owned by by Bonnemann and his is the first name at the top like Marx. Oh look this might be the guy... Erich Marx, whose collection formed the basis of the Hamburger Bahnhof museum of Modern art in Berlin, died on 9 September at the age of 99, the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation said. I think Marx and Kellner were early NSDAP members like Bonnemann since they have same fraternity badges. I'm trying so hard here guys. I think that is all for now. Good research session though.
    7. I'm at a loss for what this is. I couldn't find anything else like it. It's a brass belt buckle with a German something on it.
    8. what about the shoulder boards? Could they be his? What does the II stand for? I just have 1 million and 1 questions. since you have all those documents you are no doubt the most suited person to help me with this. Perhaps I could share with you all the info I have and better pictures of all the items etc and I would join your membership program and at your leisure we can both work on this? no pressure brother. I also have another super cool name or two in my collection that's worth big bucks but its civil war stuff.
    9. you probably make a good point. let me think on it. theres just circumstancial stuff like the spelling of the name is unique and the fact that the swords were accompanied by other things kellner was said to be missing. shoulder boards etc. i was hoping someone could id him using the shoulder boards and swords as they are pretty unique and is there no picture of Kellners saber? besides that there are some medals that i think Kellner would have also had but in this case I'm guessing they belong to Goetze. I was hoping at least some of the medals could be tied to Kellner via documents. maybe the background checks will reveal something. just the fact that the names given in the listing are to real ppl helps and there is the one medal that has H. Kellner named on it. very strange medal/fob/beer tumbler? thingy? don't worry about the bubble i came into this knowing nothing and I'm sure I can sell this stuff for more than two grand. I just want to find the truth and that's all i ever care about. i would call the Goetze medal a solid group because the full size is accompanied by the mini so they are all for same person fo sho. it's incomplete though, that's a given. Maybe Kellner II had a son named Herman Kellner III and passed the swords and boards down to him and then his son marries Goetze who has a brother.... gosh its just so fanciful. i also wonder what the markings on the weird kellner medal mean... |xx|xx|xx ??? and what the SS Berlin 95 means and other name on it means. The saber has that star of David on it I figured something like that must be known by someone to be on his sword.
    10. I believe its says A. Goetze around the rim. I wish i could determine if any of what i have belongs to Kellner besides the swords etc. for example a French legion of honor was included and correct me if I'm wrong but it doesn't make sense for Kellner or Goetz to have that. its a valuable medal but it's like the seller playing games. mix and matching but calling it all Kellner.
    11. thank you for the warm responses. I messaged the seller and he's being difficult. So, not much I can do on that front but wait and see if he helps me at all. He made the owner who I assume is Russel Shwartz, aware of me and my situation. He also commented that I was "smart" in response to me saying I think its Herman Kellner II. It came off as though I'm right. lastly the seller bragged about selling even more stuff of theirs later. left me with even more questions. So, I got Hermann's saber and that's what matters most to me. well, that and the shoulder boards and belt buckle must be super valuable. I like these items so much I'm going to have to list it for $88,000 that way I can keep it for the foreseeable future. Naw, make that $148,800. there's more intensity to this story. but I would need to open up a bit to share. My name "preston hudman" (its my username) = 1008 English hermann kellner II = 1008 English my full name preston tyler hudman is 18 letters and 1+8=9 preston hudman is 13 letters 1+3=4 preston tyler is 12 letters 1+2=3 tyler hudman is 11 letters 1+1 =2 9 + 4 + 3 + 2 = 18 and 1+8= 9 again!!! so, My name mathematically equals the number 9 more so than any other name on earth. one of the swords has "VIIII" carved into the handle with 9 individual dots carved as well. I believe the sword was summoned to me. you can look up what names equal using gematria calculator gematrix. org that was a bit off topic and needs no discussion, but I do appreciate the kind replies. When I bought this I did not know about Hermann Kellner II and was basing it on the fact that everything in the lot was a minimum $200 item plus I figured $1k for the swords. then with seconds to go I just got worried so I bid $3700! Almost double what it went for. Nobody was beating me that day. I am looking into this next by doing truth finder reports but this is possible. but Hermann 's wife went by another name according to the documents. Maybe A. Goetze is a friend of Hermann's and Hermann married his sister margarite perhaps after divorce? The seller is doing weird stuff imo, not just splitting it up but misleading ppl as to who's medals they are. I cant tell if he knew it was Hermann Kellner II though. He's just being so evasive around my questioning and then instead of answering my question he complains of spam and tells me to get an attitude adjustment. Messages pile up after a few days without responding.
    12. I recently purchased a collection of items on ebay from a family with the last name Kellner and I have a feeling it's the same Hermann Kellner II. I think I have his sword and his shoulder boards and more. But then again I might just be wrong, because I don't know much about this. I'm trying to untangle the mystery. I'm going to copy paste the exact description that accompanied the listing that I bought... Important Named German Military Prussian War Swords Medals Iron Pre- WW1 1870 Incredible grouping pre dates WW1. The iron cross ring is dated 1914. I believe all other items are Imperial German Prussian War items. Please see all photos for details. The collection belonged to Hermann Kellner. The SS Berlin medal is named to him. The grouping landed in Rochester NY around 1920 from Germany with Hermann Kellner and Marguerite Goetze-Kellner. Passed down to Dorothea Kellner-Schwartz and down to her son Russell, in an upstate NY estate sale. There are 24 photos. Please let me know if you have any questions. End. So a bunch of things bother me but the main thing is that one of the medals is named A. Goetze and yet here the seller is saying that Herman Kellner was married to a Marguerite Goetze Kellner. Therefore how is it possible that his wife is named on the medal? There's also a medal of some sort that has Herman's name on it. The SS Berlin metal is some sort of fraternity medal. I'm also curious to know if the shoulder boards are Hermann's because they do have the "II" on them. I don't know what that means tho. I find it hard to believe that this collection happens to belong to a different Hermann Kellner. I find it easier to believe that Hermann's stuff has been ridiculously split up. Documents over here, medals all over the place, uniform split up, things removed from its case for no apparent reason etc. It seems like the family keeps hiring dealers to sell it for them? If you check the names the seller gave they are indeed real people, the family tree exists, Herman also goes by the name Gustav Adolf Kellner. But his wife is real and her daughter Dorothea is real and her son Russell is real and Russell is still alive and I believe he is the one who sold this. His name is Russell Schwartz. He's old though. Perhaps no one left to hand it down too. So I asked the seller to ask Russell why his grandma Marguerite goes by the name goetze while at the same time he's selling me a war medal with the name Goetze on it, yet clearly leading me to believe this was a group belonging to Hermann. He didn't say that goetze was named, he said Herman was named on one of the medals. You can see goetze from the picture so I find it hard to believe he was unaware of it. What the heck is going on? I just get the feeling they're changing identities, hiding themselves perhaps or something. But since the Kellner family is real all I got to do is connect this Hermann to the real Hermann Kellner II in some way, and then in my opinion all of it, even the stuff named to goetze, is technically named to Herman, because if that's the real Herman he's the one creating all this confusion with his weird family. The last picture shows the full size Goetze medal and since I see a miniature version on the clasp I'm assuming that all of those belong to Goetze as well. There are some other medals and a ring included but I would imagine this is enough to identify whether or not it's possible we're dealing with Hermann Kellner II or not. I know his wife's name is not correct but maybe these things were changed in order to hide themselves. Also it's possible that this information hasn't been passed down to Russell and he doesn't even know that his grandpa Hermann is Hermann Kellner II. He did make sure to spell the name correctly with two n's. That's all for now I really hope someone can help me figure this out. My next move is to probably do background checks on each of the family members and look for known relatives to start cross-linking them until hopefully finding more evidence that I have Hermann kellners sword. I swear I can feel his Aura through the sword. I feel like I summoned it to myself. In any case at least I should be able to gain insight into what it is that I actually have here. Imperial Germany is really interesting and I love the designs on everything. I did not pay THAT much and my research says I'm winning even if it's not the same Hermann. If it is the same Herman perhaps we should all get serious about reuniting these items or selling them as a package and splitting it appropriately but I don't want to get ahead of myself. First we would have to figure out the mystery behind Marguerite Goetze-Kellner and A. Goetze. Thanks again.
