Any difference between the silver and the black tanks besides color?
Hi WJT,
As far as i am aware of the colour of the tank has no specific meaning.
It certainly has nothing to do with the class of the badge, possibly a different place of manufacture now that the Soviet Union no longer exists.

Here is it's sister vehicle, tactical number 43.
Behind it is the Krupp version of the Bruckenleger IVb.

This looks like the Bruckenleger IV S / Sturmstegpanzer
So not a bridge but a self moving armoured 2 piece telescopic assault ladder designed to be deployed over trenches, minefields and /or the roof of bunkers to allow infantry to cross the obstacles and attack targets inside or beyond.
The two sections could be extended up to 26.5/56 meters.
This tank also named "Bruckenleger S" was manufactured on a panzer IV ausf C/D chassis.
4 were completed in early 1941 and sent to the front, used by the 39 Pioneer-panzer Abteilung of the 3 Panzer Division in the invasion of Russia.
These i think had the tactical numbers 41,42,43 and in your image 44.

Also on the first postcard it seems some of the damage was either done later or has been added by an artist.
Thanks again to the guys at Landships.

All of the tanks in the photos were MkII's belonglng to 11 Co., D Bn. HBMGC and were knocked out on 11/4/17 during the 1st Battle of Bullecourt.
The tank in the first image is 799 (D30), seen between the first and second line of the Balcony Trench system, NW of Queant.
The middle tank is 586 (D28), destroyed just in front of the first Hindenberg Line trench south of Riencourt.
And the last photo is 796 (D23), and is seen abandoned just in front of the Hindenberg Line trench at the SE corner of Bullecourt village.
Many thanks to Rhomboid of the landships forum.

The Challenger II will not be fitted with the 120mm Smoothbore Gun. The hybrid German Rheinmetall 120mm L/55 gun was fitted and trialled, however extensive turret modifications would have been needed to accomodate enough 1 part 120mm ammo.

Including IED jamming system and a drivers thermal camera to detect hidden IED's, added armour panels.
Barracuda MCS and Slat armour to the rear is also added.

FV 4401 Contentious
Did you know the British built a prototype tank similar to the Stridsvagn 103?
It was designated FV 4401 Contentious, an air-portable tank destroyer built in the early 1960's.
At least one prototype was constructed and tested, although no production vehicles were built or saw service.
The gun chosen was the QF 20 pounder (84 mm), already in use in the Centurion tank, although now fitted with an autoloader. The mount was fixed in elevation and had only a limited traverse. Most aiming relied on steering the entire tank on its tracks. Elevation used an unusual system, a hydraulic suspension system with independent height control of each wheel station. This allowed the entire tank chassis to be tilted back and forth.

Hi,
You are welcome, not a big fan of external links, if it's broken the thread becomes rather pointless
Not really anything to add about the prices though, i'll leave that to the experts, age, if they are named and what variation are all important factors though.

Hi,
It's a Danh Gioi Artillery Medal on the wrong ribbon.
It should be mounted on a small metal devise, red with a golden star in the middle.

The form of the star is not typically Albanian, it reminds me more of the Czech or North Korean red star.
