    1. This old Eickhorn lionhead sword was made into a fighting knife.
    2. Heer by Wingen,no initials,but it has a one-of-a-kind pommel.
    3. Colorado, yes and no!To the left of the pile is my computer, which the pile was tilting! It got so bad I had to move almost all the bayos to a dresser drawer. But I've made a few additions,so the original pile is almost as big as before, and now I have a dresser drawer full of bayos to boot !
    4. I believe the issued ones were serial numbered. Here's a few sites for more info one them. http://www.goldstarmoms.com/ http://www.goldstarmothers.us/ http://www.west-point.org/family/bicent/go...oldmothers.html
    5. A third wall, some cases have been moved since this pic was taken, and the flags are fake,as is the panzer wrap.
    6. Another wall.Flags are fake,as are the SS daggers on the right..
    7. Only one SA(or NSKK,I can't remember which!) in the cases.A few dress bayos and the rest are Heer daggers in the cases. Most of the bayos came from Ebay, and the others from a few dealers and collectors.Only one bayo,a fairly modren U.S. M7 made by Eickhorn came from a yard-sale.This pile is a little over a years worth of collecting. And yes,I have been slacking off putting them in display cases since I'm running out of wall space!
    8. Pin for a Mother with a son in the Army during WW2.
    9. Pin for a Mother who lost a son during WW2.This one is unmarked on the reverse,so it wasn't issued.
    10. Since Colorado brought it up in another thread, here's a plie of daggers and bayos waiting to be put into displays.
    11. Production started in 1942. http://www.battlefield.ru/ba64.html
