After looking at the site again: Great stuff! and im most surprised you found the makers for KM&F en W. Last night i googled a bit and couldn't find them, very cool you have found them. Also i noticed a few pictures of makers marks only and no full shots, i guess it would be easy to pick most marks just from the internet, but im not sure what to think of that? I could give you a site with a few dozens for sale, a lot of makers are to be found there. Personnally i like the idea of a project here with all new original pictures a bit more ;-) regards, Gaston

Bayoswede, thats the idea yes A few tips: - in the second row there are the C= Combat, NC = Non Combat NCB = Non Combat Black listings, you should maybe try to add two more colums giving them those names? We want a column for each medal right? One picture for C, one for NC and one for NCB (or as i prefer W = widows). - the picture in the "picture-column" now shows a complete backpicture, but with more medals added this would all look the same, maybe only list the makersmark thumbnail and then when you click on it the whole picture shows up? just a few little ideas, i like this project, it will be immense and we will need LOTS of pictures of close up maker marks on all these medals (i love it ), ill post a few of mine later tonight too. on http://stirnpanzer.com/forum/index.php there is a first attempt at making a list with all makers, i copied it under here, maybe its usefull. the list is far from complete, but it's a start. The idea of finally making a structured list for these medals is great, however, how to make it a nice and easy to overview list? Posting big pictures of all makers' backsides sure is big help, but in the end we would want a easy to work with list. I would suggest the following: A sort of excell database with columns, The first column would contain in alphabetical order the names of the makers, second column their maker marks, third column a thumbnailpicture with the mark, 4th and 5th column if needed any additional information... If it is possible to link the big sized pictures to the thumbnails this could be become a very nice and workable list. I've been playing with the idea to do this on my internetsite but lacked the time to do so. Maybe now is the time since there seems to be some intererst here? regards, Gaston ps: thinking out loud, by adding more column we could add for example other ribbonmountingstyles, certain maker medal details, etc

Terry, that last case of yours is very rare? I have never seen it? It looks more square? (also a green inlay?) Any maker marks? regards, Gaston
