one day i hope to find the books for all the medals.
kind regards,
Gaston
ps: here is my lame attempt at framing them, glad they are in the same frame ;-)
(excuse the poor quality picture, taken in a dark room)

Next page with date and some more info???

The other book then (from 1958),
Also no picture here, but only a name...

Next picture from the inside, hope it's good visable , played around it a bit to make smaller images:
I can clearly see the date 1973, so guess these booklets came in at least two variations?
For the rest i can't make out much what is written on that page

Inside:
Unfortunately no picture inside anymore,
But can somebody maybe read the name please?
next page: (won't fit in here, see next post please)

Here are a few mothers medals and award books, they didn't come together.
As i cant read or speak one word russian i would be most gratefull if somebody could tell me the names in the books?
Also one of the three books is of another material, is this the correct book for the second class motherhood medal too (maybe just from another year)?
First shot the two different books:
Clearly both are different, could this be because of the different years of handing them out?
The left (darker) book has 1973 as date and the right (red) book is dated 1958. (see pictures next post)

adding an iron cross to a bar that you bought that is missing the cross from the ribbon is something different than addings clasps and totally extra items that were not supposed to be there
It's all about money, a shame!

I've been reading this topic with very much interest and as a collector im on the side of the people who think that frauds like this guy deserve a very hard kick in a place where it hurts....
But what i wonder is: he obviously OWNS the bars he is changing into monsters and definately knows what he is buying to change into frauds.... But as an owner you can do what you want with your possessions, right? It hurts to see those changed bars with before and after pictures, but im afraid there is no law that says you can't fool aroud with a medal you own and afterwards sell it.
On the other hand this guy is not any different than any of the people who sell FAKE stuff on purpose, only he destroys real material to sell his monsters...
We all know this little collectorworld is FULL with people who have their heart not at the right place and try to screw over the people who do collect with all the love for history and historicall items. I think this guy is just another very bad example of someone who spoils a lot of the fun for many people.
It is topics like this and the people here who educate the rest, please keep posting information because i would have gotten me one of those bad ones myself i i didn't knew it from here....
Kind regards,
Gaston

as im totally new to this collecting area ( russian and related states) i found my medal on ebay
Are there maybe sites to keep an eye on that regularly offer these? Id like to get another one that is numbered or perhaps a type without enamel then?
Also how many of these were given out?

Gaston

Austrian ribbon bar fakes again
in Germany: Third Reich: State, Civil, NSDAP Awards & Decorations
Posted
Saw them again too, also noticed there is another seller called LegionairVienna who sells always at the same time a lot of fake material too, maybe the same person?
Rick, thank you for that last post, the fake age spots are very clear, but im afraid i don't understand yet how you can recognize the way the catchpin should be attached?
regards,
Gaston
