    1. It's 1 Marz 1935 Saar Commemorative. Made of stamped brass, about 1" square. The cut out swastika has a silver metal map with SAAR in raised letters on it attached with two prongs. Two of the swastika arms have 1 MARZ and 1935 in raised letters on them. The back is marked W.REDO SAARLOUIS. Has a safety pin catch soldered on. Sorry I don't have a seperate photo of it - this is the best I can do for now - if I try and make it larger it's too blurry.

    2. Thanks Rich. Some day I've got to find the time to take good 'book quality' photos of this stuff.

This is a private purchase tunic for a Luftwaffe Fliegertruppe Flugzeugf?hrer Feldwebel (Air Force Staff Sergeant Pilot) with the original badges. I don't have a photo of it, but it has a tailor's label indicating the tailor was Georg Henschel from Charlottenburg. The owner's last name was Gosby.

    3. A friend gave me this info on where this town is: "This is a VERY small town very close to Krems an der Donau (river Danube) in nowadays Austria. The "b.W." after St. Michael means "bei Wien". Vienna is the next bigger city (some 10-20 km away), Krems is bigger than St. Michael but still small. If you have a good world atlas, it is in there. But look under SANKT MICHAEL, not St. Michael. Saint in English = Sankt in German. Cheers, Frank H."
