Hello All: Open call for assistance. I am trying to determine what happened to the crew of the Kriegsmarine minelayer R-184 sailing from Calais after she was sunk by the British Motor Gun Boat 330 in close quarter action on 16 Aug 1942. Was the R-184 crew picked up? Made POWs? Any info would be great. Thanks! Joe

Does anyone have any information regarding the crew of U-260? I know she apparently struck a mine at about 80 meters deep, surfaced and was scuttled, near the Fastnet Rock, at 2230hrs on 12 March, 1945--south of Ireland. When the boat surfaced and the entire crew evacuated the boat, rowed to shore and were taken as POWs to Kildare Military Barracks, Ireland. Where did they ultimately spend their captivity? Where they transferred to the US or did they remain in the UK? Any information would be a great help! Thanks! Joe
