Thanks for an answer. Owner of the cross does not believe that this is not a good one and trying to sell it as original. Therefore me and some other guys from Estonian forum asking for a reasoned advice.

Hello,
I saw this EK2 for sale. Never seen before such a case as this. Is it a common case? How much would be a reasonable price for the lot?
Thank you.

An interesting (early-ish) one that came in the stack of challenging documents that just moved in.
An Honour Gramota to the lady, Maria Alexandrovna Strod, technical employee of the Commerce school of the Commerce and Industry Management of Leningrad city, for the conscientious attitude to labour and to the socialist property.

First line is Moskovsko.
Second line centre is otdel (department).
Probably some universal medal for the Veterans of Labour which is attributed by the establishment in Moscow.

See above.
Always useful to look for earlier threads.
Thank you for your very informative response.
Diameter of my medal is 37 mm, not 31 mm like you said in your above post.
Also I am not able to determine which is a correct ribbon for this medal and when was this awarded.
What does mean the maker mark ? on the medal?
The dates 1909-1379 on the medal ?
Maybe there is someone who can answer on my questions?
Thanks,

Hello,
I have this medal in my collection.
Suppose this is a medal of Military Duty. It`s diameter is 37 mm, not 32 mm.
How looks a correct ribbon for this medal?
What is a value of the medal?
Thanks in advance,

A military currency is a fiscal instrument to ruin an economy of the conquered states.
It`s always set to inflate.
A history of the military currency began hundreds years ago.

What an interesting topic. Curious how they printed them in English?
Not only in English. They also printed in Dutch for Netherlandish India (De Japansche Regeering insteed of The Japanese Government). Considering the anti-netherlandish stand on Java and Sumatra the Dutch text was changed to Javanese (Pemerintah Dai Nippon) in 1943.
Here is 100 Rupees for Burma (B for Burma).

1918-1920 Red Riflemen Units.
in Russia: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
Posted · Edited by pluribus
Several Red Army elite units existed during the Russian Civil War in 1918-20.
Most famous of them were Estonian and Latvian Red Riflemen units. Lenin used thouse units as his body guards.
Here you can see a badge of the Latvian Red Riflemen issued to commemorate a 50th anniversary of the unit.
The badge is big and heavy. It has a multipiece construction and a screwback attaching system.
It`s a quite rare badge.
