Here are the pics, the links will be dead soon as the auctions will terminate. Definitely a difference in quality...

I've had this puppy for quite a while but never got around to asking for an expert opinion on it... It's quite light, almost feels like tin. I've often wondered if it was genuine. Any thoughts?

I was more than a bit surprised to see a number of these minis on sale on eBay.de

Stunning!
IMHO, stealing from a museum is as low as it gets... That's stealing from the entire society...

Beautiful photos. I had no idea such a place existed. What an incredibly fitting tribute to these brave soldiers.

Umalatovas are but a tiny percentage of the unofficial medals out there.
These are the so-called UMALATOVAS

There are many more groups dishing out unofficial medals...

Woa... Now that I see it in relation to a belt buckle and buttons, it's about 1/2 the size I expected it to be... It's actually small enough to be a mere lapel pin.

Nicholas II cipher... But apart from that... A bit out of my comfort zone. A souvenir from the coronation? A military insignia?
What are the dimensions? Small enough for a lapel pin? Big enough for a cap badge?

Could it possibly be this as Megan suggested?

I saw it on the uniform of 2 serving Russian admirals... It's driving me nuts that I can't find those photos again.

Are you sure it's Belgian? I can't find anything even resembling that in the ribbon chart for Belgium.

Yes indeed... Anything to declare?

Wow!
I can't wait to see the paint go on!

Miniatures of Modern Russian Orders and Medals

Fake minis? No such thing as a fake mini... Cheaper mini... But fake? That's a new one.
Minis are private purchase items for wear on mess kits or civilian clothing. The individual bestowee/purchaser can buy any quality/price mini(s) he/she desires.
Is this different in Russia? I'm not being argumentative, I'm asking honestly.
