MY GREAT-GRANDFATHER'S MEDALS FOR SERVICE IN THE ANGLO-BOER WAR 1899-1902 - BURGER WILLIAM WALLACE My great-grandfather fought, as a Scot, for the Boers as part of the Irish Brigade. This is one of very few medals to this scarce unit. He was wounded in the Natal campaign and spent nearly three years as a P.O.W.

MILITARY AND PARA-MILITARY UNITS THAT SERVED IN THE 1922 STRIKE This is a collection of all the Regiments and Arms of Service, including the South African Police, that were mobilised and fought in Johannesburg when martial law was declared in 1922. The collection includes a rare South African Air Force badge that was only used in 1922.

ENTRANCE TO THE FAMILY ROOM AND DISPLAY I started my interest in collecting at a very age young age. The family influence on matters military encouraged me to become a proffessional soldier and officer in the South African Army. Hi Brett, Thank you for the kind words. The group was awarded to Captain M. Landsberg of the Umvoti Mounted Rifles. . During the Anglo-Zulu War he was the RSM of the Border Hussars and took part in the Battle of Nditzane. His photograph is in Curzon's badge book. He was an Intelligence Officer in both the Boer War and 1906 rebellion, hence the clap "NATAL" on the QSA. Regards, Will
