    1. Hi Hugh! I think you are right about it being a 3rd. class medal. On the Thai Secretariat of the Cabinet's website, Rama IX's medals have the same appearance, and the one with the red enameled exterior is the 3rd. class. Secretariat of the Cabinet Site Other than that, I really can't find any other info in English that is helpful. I have a wonderful contact in Bangkok! Thanks! Jason

    8. Hi again everyone! Can anyone tell me what the official size of the medals for 3rd., 4th., & 5th. classes of the Order of the Crown, & Order of the White Elephant should be? I know that 4th. & 5th. are identical except for the addition of the rosette to the 4th., and the 3rd. is on a neck ribbon, and a little larger in diameter, but what other difference in diameter (or anything else) are there...if any?     9. Even the website for the Thai Secretariat of the Cabinet shows them in what appears to be white/silver metal, the Border Service Medal in yellow/gold. Jason
    10. Hello! I have never seen photographs of the Korean, or Vietnam, medals in yellow metal, only in white/silver. The Border Service Medal is in yellow/gold though. Jason
