    1. Page one. The text in Hungarian says; Volunteer school in Klosterneuburg, 1914 August - 1915 January. (Town north of Vienna along the Danube)
    2. Not long ago, the photo album of Oszkár Simkó came into my collection of Austro-Hungarian militaria. The album contains hundreds of interesting and detailed, most likely self-made photographs from this young officer. I will scan and digitally restore the photographs one by one and post some of the most interesting ones here. Unfortunately I don´t know anything about this officer more then his name. I would be most thankful for any comments that can help me to find out more about him, or details in the photos. Enjoy the photographs! Péter
    3. I think this is the most beautiful medal there is. The Order of the Iron Crown III class, with the war decorations-wreath and crossed swords. The markers mark, A.E Köchert Wien.
    4. Another piece to the collection. Order of Franz Joseph knights cross in silver on war-trifold.
    5. This beautiful little star shines up my collection-shelf. The middle star of the Hungarian Order Of Merit.
    6. Hello Hugh! Yes there are many stories about the adventures of The Holy Crown of Hungary. But the most believable is what you can read in the links below. The Holy Crown of Hungary Stephen I of Hungary Cheers! Péter
    7. One of the most beautiful Hungarian orders are the order of VITÉZ. There are many makers of the order itself, and one of those are JEROUSHEK. I had two Boczán badges in my collection before and now I got this Jeroushek one. Many collectors says that it´s the most detailed and beautiful enamel work among the Vitéz badges.
    8. Time for some Austro-Hungarian monarchy items.. Here´s a nice MVK that landed on my display-shelf this week.
