Avers seems to be 1st class. Why are you sure that it's 2nd class?

I have one Order for Merit to the People but I'm not clear what class is it. If you look at avers it seems to be 1st class. But if you look at revers you see number II and high s/n 37062. Is it 2nd class turned to 1st class? homemade? Have you ever seen somethink like this? What is your opinion?

yes they seems to be small, I don't think that there are miniatures of this medal.

I will get them propably next week and than I will be able to make better scans (both sides) and post more details.

Ostfront I'm speechless.

I try to find more informations about all EX-YU Awards. The only book I have is this above mentioned. I try to read even 'dinar' but still I could not find exactly data. And now you describe not only the category of this medals but give us exactly data about number of issued medals. I'm happy that you give us this information. It is frustrating that there is no book or catalog of this Order/Medals.

What book or materials do you use?

one of this Medals this of Hospital Franja could be find in our book 'Yugoslavia Army Insignia & Decorations 1918 - 1990'. Another one of Hospital Pavla is depicture there. There are some questions:

- how many such Partisans Doctor Medals each for another Hospital exist?

- how many Medals in each category were issued?

- Final question: who was the bearer of this Medal: Doctor or Wunded? There are wounded medals almost in each countra or army. But I never heard about Medal for Partisan Doctor. If the bearer was a partisan doctor then there are not so many Medals.

We have still more questions as answers.

But one day....

I saw such Medals for $50. But I have no idea if it is fair or to much.

WWII Partisans Doctor Medal of Hospital Franja. More details as soon I get better scans.

Dumitru Popa visits Vienna in Juni 1968 (two months before Warsaw pact invasion of Czechoslovakia) on invitation of Major of Vienna Mr. Marek. Mr. Popa signed as a member of CC CPR a statement of RCP to the situation in Czechoslovakia in August 1968.

Document: Order of the Yugoslavian Flag 1st cl. given to Comrade Dumitru Popa, born in 1925, moved in 1966 into the "Inner Circle" of the CPR. Member and Head of Department in CC of CPR. He was General Major of Bucarest and visited officially - as the general major of Bukarest - Vienna for one week in june 1968.

Do you know how many SFRJ and FNRJ Medals exists or where could we get informations?
