There is a small booklet in which is stated that Dimitru Popa was given the Order of the Flag of Yogoslavia.

Hier is best possible scan for today. The quaility is not the best one.

this is first part of the collection there some other awards and decoration which I post next week as soon as I get them.

It's not easy to get documented awards. I do my best, at the moment I have four documented awards:

1. Merit to the People 3rd cl.

2. Merit to the People 3rd cl.

3. Military Merit 2 cl.

4. Order of Yugoslavian Flag 1st cl.

It was not easy to get them.

It is probably easier to get documented group in Serbia?

Gentlemen,

hier is my current ex-YU collection. Thank you for Christian Zulus for a hint concerning Order of the Flag. As a sign of thankfullness Christian will be awared with Medal for Bravery which is waiting for him.

I didn't upload all the Order in detail because there are already images of many orders and medals in this forum. But of course I will do it by request.

Hi Luka,

Maybe information I got is not correct and this order comes not from ex-YU.

Interesting is that this order is made from two pieces similiar to early orders of SU. I assume that this order must be dated to the WWII time.

I have no idea what it is.

Gentlemen,

do you know this order?

I was told, that this order comes from YU and was given as award for merit for the people and nation.

The order consists of two parts.

Interesting ist that a symbol of double star was printed on a booklet which was posted by GMIC Member leigh_kitchen in posting 'Yugoslavian Marshal Josip Tito' (I have to learn how to post a post Link). The Symbol on this booklet is a double star one star with onother one. This is similiar to this orden. Maybe there is a link between the symbol on this booklet and this order or maybe not.

Could you make some comments on it please?

After the WWII eight of the parties formed before the war entered the coalition with the Communists and founded the People's Front of Yugoslavia (Narodni front Jugoslavije).

This Order stick somehow to the very early stage after WWII. This three letter at bottom what does it mean?

National Federation of Yugoslavia (Narodnaja Federacja Jugislavije)?

Was this Order issued by People's Front of Yugoslavia? By political Movement headed by Tito?
