    1. and the last type for todays clasps lessons... The same clasps as for the Kyffh?usermedal are used for a lot of different vets organizations but in a different shape.... they are with different reverses, different lengths and various surfaces have a look.... By the way, as I am collecting all types of german battle clasps all offers are welcome... Heiko
    2. now to the Kyffh?userdenkm?nze.... golden as well but the writing is black and there are two hooks on the reverse side, 32x5mm .... of this most seen vets medal are ca.99 clasps known... please allow me not to name all now. There are "normal ones", often and easy to get like Champagne, Verdun, Galizien, Argonnen and some that are not to get in one mans life like S?dwestafrika, Pal?stina, Kamerun, Kleinasien, Nordsee..... have a look... Heiko
    3. Now to the frontfighters cross of 1934, there are 23 bars for it.... Antwerpen, Yser, Ypern, Somme, Flandernschlacht, Durchbruchschlacht, Seekrieg, Luftkrieg, Skagerrak, Frankreich, Marneschlacht, Belgien, Champagne, England, Ru?land, Rum?nien, Italien, Serbien, Arras, Verdun, Westfront, Ostfront, Pal?stina note that the first 8 are the same as for the Flandern cross. these are gold plated brass with two round pins and 5x31,4mm look at the picture for these bars... Heiko
    4. Tony, take care, you must completely seperate the german awards with battle clasps... all completely different types of clasps for each award. For example: IRON CROSS: ca. 38 battle bars in silver, 8,4x30,6mm , two round pins for example: St.Mihiel, Kiautschau, Balkan, Italien, Ukraine, Serbien, Polen, Champagne, Lodz, Skagerrak, Tannenberg, Elsa?, Lomsa, S?dwestafrika, Wolf, Finnland, Macedonien, Verdun, M?we, Flandern, Ru?land, Helgoland, S?dsee, Rum?nien, Griechenland, Togo, Pal?stina, Galizien, Doggerbank, Kamerun, Oesel, Frankreich, Seeadler, Ostafrika, Masuren Note that there are names of ships!!!! These were the so called Hilfskreuzer, some type of armored steamship... Look at the picture for these clasps... Heiko
    5. he he, no surprise at all.... this is from our favourite ribbon bar faker on ebay, Mr. baff.... from germany. Have a look at stogies list of faked ribbon bars from this seller, nearly every day updated... I would buy this only because of the Regiments Kreuz clasp, the rest of the bar is refreshed because he had no medal of the iron division I think... Heiko
    6. are there small white stripes at both sides, nearly not to see, a bit rubished and it only looks completely blue? then it could be the greek order of redeemer.... just to think about it, I have a similar bar with a redeemer on it where the white stripes are nearly not to see.... Heiko
    7. Hello all, here is my flandern cross with all bars belonging to it. Of course they are not all from one soldier, just put together for display... I think no soldier could get a Luftkrieg and a Seekrieg bar The often seen bars like Durchbruchsschlacht or Somme, Ypern or Yser are nothing special and always to get - but Luftkrieg, Seekrieg and Antwerpen are quit rare... The interesting thing is that the Luftkieg bar was not mainly for pilots but for soldiers that served in anti-aircraft companies in Flandern... sorry for the poor picture quality Heiko
    8. Rick, as always unbelievable fast and perfect!!!!! Thank you very much, tomorrow I have the next riddle for you... thanks again Heiko
    9. thanks for your welcome I don`t know if it is the best forum, but one thing I can say : it is the forum with the two most crazy and most knowing Ricks in the world.... that`s the point!!!! greetings Heiko
    10. Does anybody know Stabszahlmeister Karl Unger of the imperial german navy and his career and awards??? thanks Heiko
    11. Hi Rick, thank you very very much for your great answer on my question!!!! I am very happy with the information you have given me because one day ago I did know not very much and now I am down to a hand full of possible owners ? great job!!!! Now I have something very important for further search: NAMES Maybe someday I will find a photo of some of these men and one of them weares a very fine well known medal bar? ;-) in germany we say: Die Hoffnung stirbt zuletzt ( hope dies finally? ?!) I have some more nice bars with no owner, from time to time I will post one here on the forum and maybe you will be there to put your unbelievable knowledge in the ring. For the moment again a very big ?thank you? Best wishes Heiko
    12. the earliest award document for the Kyffh?user campaign clasps that I have was given 1927... most of them are from 1930, 31, 32... interesting is that all the campaign bar docs in my collection that are dated before 1930 are for veterans associations in SAXONY.... don`t know why?! Heiko
    13. here is my addition to this topic, at the moment my one and only bar with a finish medal on it but one more will arrive soon.... I will post it as soon as I have it. Heiko
    14. Hello all, here is a very nice imperial navy medal bar with some very rare and unusual awards on it... maybe someone of you can help me to get a person to the bar. I know it is not easy because it is not an officer with a lot of shining orders but there are some very good possibilities to show the way of life of this man...that`s what I would say: - no soldier in 1897 (Centennial medal missing) - Jerusalem cross 1898 (SMS Hohenzollern?) - 1900/01 China medal with navy related clasps Taku + Tientsin (SMS Hansa, Hertha, Gefion, Iltis, Kaiserin Augusta) - 1912 colonial medal with the clasp for Venezuela 1902/03 (SMS Vineta, Falke, Gazelle, Sperber, Panther, Charlotte, Stosch) - Iron cross 1914 with the clasp Skagerrak (many ships on north sea that day...) - still alive 1934/35 to get the front fighters cross... additional awards: medal of the red eagle order, service 15y and service 25y, cross of the Z?hringer Lion (not often seen...) I think that is a real life for the navy.... now it`s on you, anybody who has some ideas???? Maybe a list of the navy soldiers getting the Jerusalem cross out of the emperors hands? I would like to ask especially for the help of Rick Research which has been highly recommended to me for this ID job on another forum .... thanks for all help Heiko
