Norddeutscher bremen line?
George
I think you'r right, Where did you find this at??

The piping is a Burgundy color. The photo I found shows the key in the logo for Norddeutscher Lloyd shipping line.

Hi, the eagle is darker than the photo shows,But it's not as dark as most other makers badges. I have seen GWL badges on several other sites that the eagle is very light to almost a dark silver. It does have a funny greenish tent to it now that you mention it.Is this a common problem with this maker??
The wreath still has most of the burnished highlights so I don't think it was dipped.

Hi guys I have a chance to pick up this badge as well as one other one.
I bleave it's a first pattern badge. I would like to get other opinions on it.
Also what would be a fair price for it IF it's ok??
Thanks in advance David Robertson

Hi guys
I am trying to find out who the maker of this badge is? I have looked in all of the photos I have and have not been able to find one like it. I have two of these (this one is on estand).
Thanks In advance with any help!

Very nice haul ! The two 2nd Pattern E-Boats look particularly nice. You don't often see them with so much finish intact !
Yes it was but not cheap. One E-boat badge is on WAF on e-stand

Thanks for the info,Here is the grouping that this came with. It seems that the vet grabbed two of every thing.

That's awfully big of you to be looking out for your fellow collector. But I think I will pass

No need to put a value on it...just send it my way and I'll keep it safe.
I love the detail of the wing cut-outs from the reverse. Nice score!!

Hi Guys
I was looking at the link posted here by John and the Para Badge wreath and the one on my pilots badge have the same marks on the back. File marks in the die? So It appears they used the same wreaths for both badges. Were these produced before 1936?

Good morning DavidI can only echo the comments made by Eric.
The rivets have been repaired, but to find this early bird in any condition is rare.
The link below will take you to an example of an ?Assmann? Para badge with the same wreath.

Thanks for all of the replies and help! I thought the eagle was Assmann but the wreath had me confused. I had not seen one like it before. (now I know!) What kind of value should I put in this bird ??? I like to keep a descent record on my stuff. The wife and Daughters will be lost if I spin out and don't have photos and list of the things I have.

Hi guys
I picked this up and am trying to find out who the maker is. It is very thin compared to the mid to late war badges. The rivet are messed up but other than that it's a nice badge. Here is a link to more photos on another Forum. http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/sho...ad.php?t=198587 Thanks in advance for any help!

I now think it is for a watchman or security firm. The last post on the link I have added below is the most telling.Along with the last post here.
