Example in a courier motociclist helmet depicted in the 1946 Regulation.

Saw this wing being offered. It's approximately 70mm wide. Any opinions on the authenticity based on these two photos?
Many thanks.
Perfect originals. During SCW many insignia were handcrafted locally.
The simbol on the red disk is for the Spanish Foreign Legion, where the Italians enlisted as the only way to be in the spanish regular army being foreigner.
I know these wings, were for sale some time ago at Flying Tiger Antiques and dissapeared, I guess were sold. Price tag too much for me.

Fran

Approximately 90mm/3.5 inches wide, 4 prong reverse. I believe this is a Spanish Nationalist wing from the SCW era. Is this a cap badge?
Comments welcome!
Hi Scott,
Too big for hat. This is for breast and for enlisted personel

Hi,
I found this pic few weeks ago. It shows crew members of a 20mm gun, engaged in Spain to defend the airfields. Guy pertain to the Lw Flak. Usefull hats, huh ?
jacques
Hello Jacques,
That wide wing hats are the ones used by labourers in the harvest in the field. Seems they were found useful by the sensitive to sun germans troops...

Beautiful german made one. No doubt of that since the spanish letter '?' is lacking in the word 'Campa?a'

I was asked 1200? and seemed me a good price... it is the lowest I saw in my searching for a SKiS made of silver
Regards
Due to the well worn condition, and oxydized silver I would say 1000? as a maximum price., 800-900 if the eagle is resoldered.jacques

Hi Jacques,
The fact is that it is fairly good priced and made me suspect. Will ask better/detail photo...
Anyway, what would worth in the even of having been resoldered?
Thank you
Hi,I can't see anything wrong; may on the picture showing the reverse , the top right eagle has been resoldered.

Hello Jacques,
Just found this evening by chance his engraved dagger and a photo lot at Weitze. His name: Heinrich Aubeck of KG2. Need to translate the description to know his history but seems he was shot at Russia being the only survivor.

Francisco

The spanish Lieutenant besides Schmidt in the above photo is Jose Ram?n Carpalsoro, still alive today; is the one in the middle of the below photo. Wearing the cap is Bravo, pilot of I-16 and former enemy; probably he fired him some rounds almost 70 years ago
Cheers

Adam, I think that type of list will be hard to obtain. I can help you with many 109 #'s
Best, Sal
Hello Sal,
Do you really have 'many' 109's Werk Numbers? WNr. aren't those painted in the fuse but those engraved in the aircraft's data plate.
Regarding to seaplanes I have handed some original original documents and no one WNr. is consigned. Only fuse codes.
Cheers
Fran

Spanish Civil War Medals
in Spain
Posted
Hi Thomas,
Nice portraits of a Major of General Staff while in his service in northernafrican spanish city of Ceuta or Tetuan. I will reseach a bit on his ribbon bar but the medal in de 2nd photo is the Medal Municipalities homage to kings, Alfonso XIII and Victoria Eugenia. I think it is the first ribbon in the bar.
It was created by royal decree of May 17, 1925 to commemorate the homage paid by the municipalities, on 23 January 1925 to Their Majesties Kings of Spain D. Alfonso de Borbón (Alfonso XIII) and Ms Victoria Eugenia of Battenberg, and express commitment to the Crown. Was repealed on December 10, 1931.
Best regards
Francisco
P.S. Thank Thomas for help me out with the Meybauer bomber clasp in the W-A forum; I finally purchased it and its nice
