That is a nice helmet. It is a shame though that the national shield has been liberated. I have a similar one where it has been over-sprayed and then the paint wiped off the eagle. You can just see the national shield under the thin layer of paint.

Gordon, yes I think I know the one you're referring to... it has a more rounded head and can be found without the scalloped sides?

A big 'Thank you' to all your help on this one.
In the end I decided not to buy as there is uncertainy with the case. The cross itself is repaired which is also a deciding factor as these can be found in better condition with a little searching.
